Yes, Bilo is Peter. His dad used to call him Billy Bilo, since that was a name from his favorite children's book that he read him at night - the name stuck - and so it's Biggles (Carlos) and Bilo (Peter) to the hardcore fans

it seems like everyone hates kate's green bag, as do i. it wouldn't be tacky if it was a more neutral colour like black or white. . .

I think Kate is meant to be the flower bud.
Hence all the stems sticking out from her.

It is the colour of the bag that is vile for sure.
