Kate Moss - posting requires reading thread rules, see post #1

most definitely think she's preggers too. She looks tired, I never thought she looks her age but in this picture she is definitely starting to look older. All this partying must take it's toll on her looks eventually. xx

She does look tired ... But, in my opinion, she looks waaaaaay better/sexier than most other women her age.:D

I like that dress, even if it is a little halloween-ish. You know, I love that she doesn't wear make-up all the time! It's like she isn't interested in what people think of her, like take it or leave it. It's part of the reason I adore her so much. Besides, she looks better than most without it, lol.

I've read Model of Imperfection. I wouldn't really reccomend it, as a Kate fan you'll probably know most of the stuff in the book already:flower:

Thank you! That's what I thought ... The new one looks much better!:D

Thank you as well, Boomer:flower:

I totally agree she looks so much better than most women her age. I just never understood how she looked so good with all the smoking and drinking etc. Good genes I think! xx

The catfight for Kate Moss' £100 panther dress as her latest Topshop collection goes on sale

article-1081231-02B7785C00000578-530_233x554.jpg

The Panther dress, modeled here by Kate Moss, was gone in 15 minutes

If you wanted a particular piece of Kate Moss glamour yesterday, you had only 15 minutes to get it.
Scores of young women queued outside Topshop's flagship store in London for more than an hour before opening to get the pick of the model's latest fashion collection.
The Christmas Collection, as it is called, is Miss Moss's most successful to date.
The £100 panther claw dress, which the model herself owns, sold out within 15 minutes of the doors opening at the Oxford Circus store.
The Topshop website was inundated with orders from 7am and the panther dress sold out on-line in two hours. But the fastest selling design was a £65 triangle rock dress which outstripped last season's star, a navy printed tea dress.
The impending recession seemed to have little impact on spending.
Half the stock of a midnight-blue floor-length gown - the most expensive at £400 - was gone in hours.
It was based on a design Miss Moss wore to her 30th birthday. A shorter version will be available in the newest Topshop branch in the Westfield shopping centre, which opens in West London tomorrow.
Miss Moss, 34, has a £3million deal with Topshop to design her own clothing collections.
They have been a runaway success for Topshop, tapping into the admiration many young women have for her style.

Fashion frenzy: Crowds flocked to Topshop's flagship store in Oxford Street, London, yesterday as Kate Moss launched her Christmas collection

'There was a queue outside this morning of about 200 people. Some of them got here at 7.45am,' a Topshop spokesman said.
'When we opened at 9am they all rushed down and were grabbing the items off the shelves. By 9.15am we had to restock.'
Office worker Holly Maggin, 23, snapped up the panther dress. 'It is just really cool,' she said.
I like her rock-chick style. I don't have time to try it on. I am already late for work.'
The vintage-inspired collection also features sequin-embellished T-shirts (£35), and drop-waist 1920s-style dresses (£80-£100), as well as a burgundy ruffled minidress (£120) and a gold, single-shouldered, floor-skimming gown (£120).
The launches success comes just days after Arcadia owner Sir Philip Green credited the supermodel with the store's record profits.

Kate Moss Topshop Christmas collection: Long sequin dress, £400; ruffled minidress, £120; gold one-shoulder gown, £120
Praising Moss as a 'fantastic ambassador', the retail entrepreneur revealed that Topshop, Topman and Miss Selfridge are defying the credit crunch with soaring sales.
He insists the 'Kate effect' is just one reason for Topshop's growth. 'We have been good for her and she has been good for us,' he said of the supermodel, who fronts and designs the Kate Moss Topshop collection.

"The Kate Moss for Topshop panther-claw dress is ALREADY on eBay!
Perhaps we shouldn't have been surprised that the Kate Moss for Topshop panther-claw dress has hit auction site eBay less than 24 hours after launching officially. After all that dress, modelled by Kate herself, sold out in less than an hour, making her Christmas collection one of the most successful so far. But still, it's reminded us there are some seriously speedy fashionistas looking to make an easy profit from their early morning start yesterday. Four of the panther dresses are already up for sale on the UK site with bids up to £190 (with an original price of £100). And the Americans seem to have caught the Kate Moss for Topshop addiction too: bids on the US site are in excess of $290. So if you had hoped to rock Kate's look this party season but you missed out, then you're still in with a chance but you better get clicking. And saving. With another six days left to bid we could be talking record prices for a piece of the Kate Moss Christmas collection!"

Kate's holiday collection is something to celebrate

Kate Moss looked like she was in the Hallowen spirit earlier today when she sported an orange and black dress to lunch with a friend. She's back in London after taking a trip last week, having reportedly traveled to Puerto Rico to shoot an ad campaign for Stella McCartney.

Kate Moss to act as go-between

Supermodel Kate Moss is set to help build bridges between friend Leah Wood and her estranged father Rolling Stone Ronnie.

Kate Moss is to try and heal the rift between father and daughter Ronnie and Leah Wood, the Daily Star reports. The pair have been estranged since the Rolling Stone star left Leah’s mother Jo for 21-year-old Ekaterina Ivanova. “Kate and Ronnie used to be great friends, but when he ran off with Katia, she stood firmly by Jo and the family,” a source claims. “Now that Leah’s pregnant, though, some line of communication needs to be opened and none of the family want to speak to Ronnie directly yet. The idea of having lawyers open discussion about mediations with the family was discussed, but in the end it was decided that this was the job for a mutual friend. Kate was the obvious choice, of course, she’s a great friend and very loyal and discreet. The family have asked her to arrange to see Ronnie this week. Kate will confirm the news about Leah’s pregnancy and pass on the family’s feelings about Ron’s involvement in the first few years of the little one’s life.”

Kate Moss to co-chair Costume Institute gala
By Hilary Alexander
29/10/2008

The British supermodel, Kate Moss, will play a starring role at the head of an unprecedented cast of a century of models at the next Costume Institute Gala Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

The event, regarded as the Big Apple’s party of the year and one which now rivals even Hollywood’s Oscars night for style and splendour, will feature the American designer Marc Jacobs as honorary chair. Kate Moss will join the singer, Justin Timberlake and the editor-in-chief of American Vogue, Anna Wintour, as co-chairs.
The gala evening ushers in the museum’s spring 2009 exhibition which takes the theme, appropriately, of ‘The Model as Muse’.
The exhibition will explore the reciprocal relationship between high fashion and the evolving ideals of beauty. It will focus on iconic fashion models of the 20th century and their roles in projecting and sometimes inspiring the fashion of their respective eras. “The exhibition will examine a timeline of fashion over the past 100 years through the paradigm of the fashion model,” said Harold Koda, curator in charge of the Met’s Costume Institute.
“We look at the power of clothing, fashion photography and the model to project the look of an era. With a mere gesture, or the line of her body, a truly stellar model can sum up the attitude of her time, creating an alluring synergy between herself and the clothing to communicate a designer’s message to the wider world.”
The exhibition will showcase some 70 fascinating examples of haute couture and ready-to-wear design. Fashion editorial, advertising and catwalk photography, together with video footage of models, actresses, socialites and rock stars that epitomize their eras, will emphasise the message.
The exposition will trace the evolution of the model from Marion Morehouse - photographed by Edward Steichen and one of the first models known to the public by name - through to the emergence of the ‘superwaif’, embodied by Kate Moss.
Other models to be featured include Lisa Fonssagrives (the wife of photographer, Irving Penn), Suzy Parker, Dovima, Jean Shrimpton, Veruschka, Twiggy, Jerry Hall, the ‘supermodel trinity’ of Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell, and, more recently, the Brazilian Bombshell, Gisele Bundchen.
Designers whose work will be featured in the exhibition include Azzedine Alaia, Giorgio Armani - honorary chair of this year’s gala and exhibition ‘SuperHeroes: Fashion and Fantasy’ - Balenciaga, Pierre Cardin, Hussein Chalayan, Chanel, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Jacques Fath, John Galliano, Jean Paul Gaultier, Gucci, Halston, Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Rei Kawakubo, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Martin Margiela, Alexander McQueen, Claude Montana, Prada, Yves Saint Laurent, Versace, Vivienne Westwood and Yohji Yamamoto.
The photographers whose work will be featured reads like a roll call of fashion’s front row in focus, and includes Avedon, Bailey, Penn, Peter Lindbergh, Steven Meisel, Helmut Newton, Norman Parkinson, Mario Testino, Patrick Demarchelier and Bruce Weber.
The exhibition is organised by Harold Koda and guest co-curator, Kohle Yohannan. The Academy Award-winning production designer and art director for films such as ‘Dreamgirls’, ‘Chicago’ and ‘Memoirs of a Geisha’, John Myhre, is the creative consultant.

The exhibition will be open to the public from May 6th to August 9th, 2009. For more information visit www.metmuseum.org
