Kate Moss - posting requires reading thread rules, see post #1

and JuliaC, some people in the campaign thread have already tried it and said it's "sickly sweet" and "just a sweet floral, tinge of synthetic".
mmmh..ok :) I am getting 90% Eternity by Calvin Klein for this fall, but I'll give a try to Parisienne too...

Actually she said the ring was Topaz not moonstone. It does look alot like moonstone, but she definitely said Topaz. She mentioned it in the article about her perfume that was in Grazia recently. I also remember her saying a really long time ago that it was a vintage family heirloom. I believe she said it was from like her grandmother or great-grandmother. Something like that. Its such a pretty ring, but I've always been in love those bangles. Too bad they are so rare and incredibly expensive! I've looked for something similar, but less expensive for years with no luck or at least I haven't found any that will fit my wrists. I've got tiny child-like wrists and most bangles always just slide right over my hands and fall off.

Loving the new Another cover! And a request I'm afraid... Does anyone have any candids of Kate from the 90s when she was in her grunge/Johnny Depp period? I'm feeling really inspired by that at the moment and was hoping someone might have something I haven't seen before. Thank you in advance!

Wow oh wow, thank you so much! Karma for you! She was so breathtakingly beautiful then.

She commissioned David Yurman to make her ring...it`s actually a `poison ring,`` which opens and closes with a latch. She was inspired by Anita Pallenberg`s old poison rings (Anita was very famously attracted to the art of black magic and loved this kind of jewelry).

I've heard of Anita's interest in black magic, but the rest of that I've never heard of before SiennaKate. Was that in an interview or something? If so, I'd love to read it. Its interesting and a cool idea. I'd love to see some of Anita's rings like that. Kate's ring does have a slightly David Yurman-style look to it. Makes me wonder if Kate was referring to a different ring in the interview I read a couple of years ago, but she said she never took off the one from her grandmother/great-grandmother or whatever and the ring in the pic paper.flowers posted is the only one I've ever noticed that she never takes off so I've always assumed that it was the one she was referring to.

In regards to the ring she always wears, its topaz and her agent gave it to her.
See quote below from Vogue Ageless issue August 2008.

"Kate met me at the door, dressed in an $80 blue-and-white striped seersucker sundress from her own line, the hem of which she had shorn with a pair of scissors. In her ears were a pair of old diamond earrings from De Vera in New York, and on her fingers a giant Indian diamond ring that she bought for herself and a blue-topaz cocktail ring that her agent had given her."

The ring she always wears is definitely not topaz! It looks like moonstone. I remember the quote about how she always wears her grandmas ring. So if the moonstone one isn't her grandmas then i'm confused....

Hi ladies...I have it here on p 148 of 'Kate Moss Style' by Angela Buttolph....

"The ultimate hippy rocker, Anita had a fascination with the dark spiritual experimental-ism since the 1960s and this influence was starting to show in Kate's style. Now the 'face' of David Yurman jewelry, Kate commissioned the New York jeweler to make her a 'poison' ring, made from a 40-carat moonstone and a 60-carat onyx grasped by two tiger claws. Poison rings have hinges that open to dump poison (or aphrodisiac) into a victim's drink."
