Kate Moss - posting requires reading thread rules, see post #1

I do not like the outfit, but I've seen her look worse.
I personally thinks she needs to take better care of herself, she's a millionaire so I'm sure she can afford taking care of her skin and hair. I used to love her style but it puts me off now, in my opinion i think she's under the impression that she's still so young that she does not need to do anything to look good, that she does not need to do an effort with her looks and any little rag she wears will still look amazing and rock n' roll. And that is simply not true. She looking more like an extra on Eastenders than a supermodel. She's not much older than me, and while a couple of year back i might get away with a lot and still look "fresh" , now that's clearly not the case. There is a time to face the truth. That yes, you do need moisturizing and that little dress that made you look so cute five years ago now makes you look like you are a lady of the night. But I think it must be contagious, Jamie also seems under the delusion. He looks horrible.

I think you are quite right Les Sucettes she's not so fresh anymore, even if I don't mind the last outfit but the one before.
and for Jamie I totally agree he looks horrible !

Leather pants are made for Kate. Seriously, she allways looks amazing when she wears them , even tough I am not fan of her outfit there but she just rocks leather pants!

also she looks so lovely in front row of watching that band playing post #291

I understand the impatience at some people's constant critisism of Kate and her look. Not because people aren't allowed to have an opinion-of course you are! But a lot of people make the same tired observations without accepting who they are talking about-Kate is never going to act her age, quit smoking or take better care of her skin! She has a party face and has earnt everyone of those wrinkles! Seriously-she is not trying to promote a better way of living or sell some ideal of a healthy lifestyle so she does not owe it to anybody to "take better care of herself". She is just living her life the way she wants to and her work is still consistently good so I can't imagine why we she would change.

thanks for posting Flashbang, I don't think I've seen those before.
I love how it's almost impossible for magazines to not have a picture of Kate in one of their pages

Most of the time I dont like the those big furry vests but this outfit really works on her and love the scarf:D

Well she's a model, she earns her millions by her looks , i could understand your position if we were talking about someone in any other profession.
Her brand his her looks and her style.
I also do not agree at all her work is consistently good, she's been airbrushed till oblivion lately, the way she looks on mags bears no resemblance to the way she looks in real life, mags are still selling the Kate Moss image, not Kate Moss herself.
I used to be a superfan, but yes, that look of someone that doesn't take care of herself puts me off. And it's to people like me she's selling. I do not see in what way this is not relevant.

The irrelevance is that I think your projecting something that you want onto someone who has never provided it. Kate will never be the poster girl for "taking care of yourself"-and nor has she ever been.

As for the airbrushing-everyone is over airbrushed these days

She never was, because she never had to. One of the things that made her what she is, was the fact that regardless of what she had been doing the night before, she could wake up, dress any little rag and look amazing.
Now it's clearly not the case, things are taking their tool and she needs to take care of herself if she wants to maintain where she is now, if she wants to continue to sell her brand. People do not have to remain the same, people adapt, grow. That's what makes them interesting. A young woman like her, aged prematurely and still hanging on to her ways, apparently convinced nothing changed, is not really something I would consider appealing.

I so agree you.
People do forget what kind of person she is. She isnt pleasing anyone. She simply does things for herself, like she said some time ago.
Anyhow. In my eyes Kate rocks now as much as she did 15 years ago. FOR MY OPINION.

anyhow, love that new pic! More pretty please!

And for the airbrushin, EVERY model, actress whatnot are airbrushed like hell these days. Thats just a fact.

Hmmm, Teddy bear fur.. I'm not sure if I like it. I think I do, but then I look again and I don't. I'm completely undecided.

The rest of the outfit is good and I LOVE the scarf!

I guess we have to agree to disagree! In my opinion what you consider adapting is actually conforming to societies rules which is the opposite of interesting to me.
If I look this good at her age I will be pretty thrilled!

On another topic-how did I miss the pictures of Kate in the teddy bear vest???

I agree with LuLover, Kate's I don't give a f***k attitude is what makes her unique and at least to me, appealing. I also think that she loves living a bohemian and decadent life. That's her thing, for example her F. Scott Fitzgerald Beautiful and Damned themed party, her desire to be a rockstar, her numerous festival appearances, etc. Although it sounds a bit silly to say that a model who appears half naked in most of her work is breaking gender barriers, I think her refusal to compromise her lifestyle really is. She does what she wants regardless of whether it's 'pretty'.
