Kate Moss Said To Cover September Issue Of Vogue
We don’t generally believe in unnamed sources, but a person in the know has just shed light on what’s supposed to be one of the best-kept secrets in the fashion magazine business. According to our source, supermodel Kate Moss is going to be on the all-important September cover of Vogue.
If this is true (and we believe it to be true), this wil mark the third time Moss has covered American Vogue in her career. Moss covered the magazine in July 1995 and again in August 2008. She’s appeared regularly on the covers of British Vogue and Vogue Paris over the past several years, but thanks to Anna Wintour’s penchant for putting celebrities on the cover of the magazine, it’s rare to see a model front the American edition. If Moss does end up on the September cover, it’ll will be the first one since 2004 to feature a model. That year’s cover was hailed as ‘The Return of the Supermodel’ and featured Daria Werbowy, Natalia Vodianova, Gisele Bündchen, Isabeli Fontana, Karolina Kurkova, Liya Kebede, Hana Soukupova, Gemma Ward, and Karen Elson in a tri-fold cover.
But Moss will have this cover all to herself. She’s a proven magazine seller at the newsstands, and we have no doubt an American audience will gobble up the story of her engagement and marriage to Jamie Hince — and, quite possibly, tales of her growing jam business.
