HOW does one of the world's most photographed and recognisable women hide in a city of a mere 4,500,000 people?
Kate Moss either pulled it off splendidly yesterday or, despite online reports to the contrary, hasn't bothered accompanying new husband Jamie Hince to Australia for his band The Kills' tour.
All day yesterday, Confidential received news that the ubermodel was in town soaking up Sydney's fair weather and hitting Paddington's Oxford St shopping belt, snapping up fashion souvenirs in Ksubi and other stores.
But when tailing photographers arrived, Moss was nowhere to be seen - only Hince and bandmate Alison Mosshart, who served as Hince's best man at the couple's wedding earlier this month.
Despite her lack of visibility yesterday, fans insist Moss is here on her first visit to Australia.

Confirmed: Kate Moss was at The Kills last night wearing white blazer (Stella McCartney no doubt!), black jeans with zips and ankle boots.

SUPERMODEL Kate Moss has surfaced after much speculation she arrived in Sydney on Saturday with her new husband and rock musician Jamie Hince.

Moss was seen leaving The Flinders Hotel in Darlinghurst tonight with Hince on her first visit to Australia.
Wearing black calf length pants and a black top with silver embellishments with a black jacket, Moss and Hince left the hotel at 9pm, where she enjoyed a vodka and cranberry and is expected to attend a performance by Hince's band The Kills at the Metro.
It's understood they dined at the hotel's boutique upstairs eatery Duke and; said a diner; "ordered pretty much everything on the menu".

"They all seemed in a good mood and were ordering a lot of drinks and a lot of food," said the onlooker.

"They seemed to work their way through the menu and ordered pretty-much everything."

There had been rumours that Moss would be accompanying new husband Jamie Hince to Australia for his band's tour, but this is the first time she has been photographed.

On Tuesday it is understood she enjoyed some shopping in Oxford St, Paddington purchasing some fashion items in stores including Ksubi.
It's understood Moss plans to accompany Hince to the Queensland this weekend for the Splendour In The Grass music festival in Woodford.
