An aside...I would love to see her styled more often by Venetia Scott, what a great combo! She looks lovely in Centrefold.

KATE THE BOOK: My Verdict

Well, I had the leisure to browse it in Harrods before receiving mine in the post and i'd like to say I felt betrayed. Kate has chosen too many of the over-photoshopped work she has done lately and not enough of the exquisite shoots from the 1990's or very early 2000's. Some I have the pleasure to own.
Too many 'close ups', so many nudes and it makes you wonder when she actually posed for editorials wearing fashion.
I don't even remember seeing the Ritts photo of her with the dog, one of her sweetest shots, what about the many Bazaar, Elle, French Glamour, Vogue USA shots from back then? Then they also added some ugly and mostly unnecessary 'graphics' to the CK genius ads, what was that about?

Overall I feel she did a much better job with her first Kate book back in '97 or so, that one had a really genuine feel to it and her work. I guess for me photoshop nudes and close ups will never be equal to her earlier work in beauty and artistic relevance.

^I do have such a fondness for her work in 00's, over that of the 90's... but I think the reasoning behind them including a large proportion of nudes is that Kate finds being nude empowering, as opposed to embarrassing, which is how she found it in her early days.

The Vanity Fair cover is rather surprising, but oh so gorgeous, I'm rather excited to see it's contents and even more to receive it.

Her Vanity Fair editorial is simply amzing. She always does her best work with M&M as oppised to Testino's plastic, stuffy shoots. Can't wait to get this.
