My claim of them being (vintage) Alaïa is based on that I in 2007 visited the vintage store Rellik in London and tried on some dark green boots by Alaïa identical to the black ones Kate's wearing.
I've regret not buying them ever since of course!

-> Didn't Ross complain that she had no talent and that he was so disappointed when he saw her (He was expecting a real model...)? That's what I read... I guess stating it so outright today would make him seem a bit silly considering how her career went...
