Aestheticians from The Spa at the Beverly Wilshire educated guests on the benefits of the Kate Somerville product line and also described the four signature Kate treatments now available at the newly-renovated facility, which recently underwent a $7 million makeover of its own. "After a treatment, you just look fresh and glowing and perfect," said Walsh, a longtime Somerville devotee. "Her services work and her products are out of this world."

(LOS ANGELES) There are certainly a number of Kates in the world of Hollywood: Winslet, Blanchett, and Beckinsale are but a few. But Kate Walsh’s name is rising in the ranks of late, what with the success of Grey’s Anatomy, not to mention her own show coming to ABC this fall. Thursday night, she hosted a girl’s poolside cocktail party at The Spa at the Beverly Wilshire, to celebrate the spa's new partnership with facialist to the stars Kate Somerville, whose signature facials and treatments have become a Hollywood way of life. Clad in a brown-and-tan floral dress by Foley, Walsh was all smiles, her flawless ivory skin credited to Somerville’s facials. “Kate keeps my skin in the best possible shape,” she said. “She helps my skin, so I’m lending her a hand. I wouldn’t step outside in the L.A. sun without her sunblock; I would have no career without that sunblock!”

When facialist-to-the-stars Kate Somerville wanted to celebrate her new collaboration with The Spa at the Beverly Wilshire, she called on one of her favorite clients Kate Walsh to help her. The redhead, who giggled and grinned when she talked about her fiance, Alex Young, hosted last week’s poolside event, where guests, including Molly Sims and Marla Sokoloff, sipped on mojitos and champagne, nibbled on everything from gazpacho to ceviche, and indulged in hand massages. Walsh couldn’t help but enthuse about her favorite Kate Somerville product to PEOPLE, “Kate in a Jar — that would be it. First of all, it has my name! And secondly it’s just a really great scrub. It’s the best thing. If you just want to look great immediately you put this stuff on, leave it on for a minute and take it off.” But Molly Sims revealed the real reason that she loves her Kate Somerville facials and products, telling PEOPLE “we’re now shooting on HD so the skin and makeup become a big [deal]. You see e-very-thing.”
