Born in Russia, Kati Nescher moved to Germany at age 8, and began modeling as a single mother at age 27, defying the teen status quo set by most of her runway colleagues. Her sophistication and intelligence radiates through her literary loves – Nabokov, Bulgakov and Anna Ahkmatova – and her style, which veers towards simple palettes of stone whites and steep blacks, with a fondness for leather jackets. Whether she layers it over a loosely buttoned button-up, or tosses it on over a simple tee, she wears the jacket well.
