she really has surprised me in skins season 3 by acting really well, and after seeing one short interview i think it's great that in real life she's not a ****ed up, drug and sex crazy 16yo, she's just normal, sweet, giggly, girly, which is far more natural. perhaps less intriguing or edgy,but i find it relieving that that's not who she really is. skins is a great show but it really does glamorise underage drinking, drugs and sex; i am relieved to see that she doesn't seem to be phased by it. and also very impressive that she has such great presence onscreen when playing a character completely different to who she really is. on the show she seems so much older, sexier, beyond her years really! and i like that she is just normal in real life.
also, i think effy's style is pretty sl*tty and kind of inappropriate for a 16yo and what she wears in real life is just normal, pretty clothes, and why not, she has perfectly nice style.

In some interview she said she took acting in school, and her teacher encouraged her to try out for the role of Effy.
