If fashion is art than why are so many well established fashion designers seem like conformists? I don't believe that any kind of art should be limited or confined to a standard or even have a certain template to start off with. Fashion shouldn't be in catagories either like classic, punky, or what have you. Also, what is with so-called "contemporary art"? Technically, everything had to be contemporary at one point because it was new at one point....
I'm ranting and raving but I so sick of being told how art has to be done and art is fashion, fashion is art! Thank you if you actually read this!!

very true, nothing about these designs looks interesting at allKimkhuu said:Kenneth Cole always tries to makes shocking campaigns, but his clothes aren't shocking at all, the only shocking thing about his collections is that they are shockingly boring.
hopefully the rest of the ny shows won't dissapoint
It IS, isn't it? I think I see the problem here. Your assumption is that Kenneth Cole is a designer. He is not. He's just a name on a clothing brand, and he has a team of designers trying to promote that he is actually a designer, but it's not him. I don't believe he was ever really a designerKimkhuu said:Kenneth Cole always tries to makes shocking campaigns, but his clothes aren't shocking at all, the only shocking thing about his collections is that they are shockingly boring.
Ugh, I am annoyed by his designs. I mean yawn yawn yawn, I see Gucci, I see a bit of Guesquiere influence, then I see DKNY and a bit of Lagerfeld Gallery.
Oh, please, it's killing me to look at something so terrible.![]()
