Hi, first post here.
I study at Central Saint Martins and I'm used to see all sorts of exentricities from my peers in fashion and fine art courses.
There is something I would like to ask.
Do you think Knee breaches could be an emerging trend in menswear ?
In London, we have a lot of couriers in either shorts or rolled up/croped jeans. I'm thinking about schoolboy look but not nesseceraly "fancy dress" stereotype.
What top would they look good with ?
What about footwear ? What would you associate with them ?
Also, socks, bare legs, tights, leggings ?
Oh and hat, probably a cap no ?

Have a think
Ced.

i just check out the new issue of FHM COLECTIONS SS06 and it has a 10 trends section, shorts and braces are definitely hot this summer, match with fit size polo top...

I see this has a big trend for Spring.

Im sick of cargos and short shorts.

I want to see some longer shorts....and short pants. I love the rolled up jeans look. But I really want to see some nice fitting, knee length or past the knee length shorts.

i am interested in rolled up jeans look, any references? or tell me which brands have them so i can have a look...thanks

I have a pair of breeches, I haven't had a chance to wear them yet though, I really wanna find another pair as these are pretty old as well, apparently 1930's.

I found a nice heather grey pair of leggings to wear under them, and just a simple cardi to go on top would be fine. It's starting to get cold here so I think I'll pull them out soon

Mine are cooler than that :P, I'll try and get a photo up soon.

Got a pic of me wearing my breeches

Sorry about the mirror, only one in the house at the moment.

I like breeches, kinda daggy but cool at the same time.

I think this a great summer look! Do you need to get pants especially made this way or would it be feasible to crop some regular length pants and maybe have them tailored a bit? THANKS!

I would love to see more guys wearing these - I see young male golfers around here wear them once in a rare while and I think they look fab. knee breeches (or knickerbockers) are still traditional for golf and still worn on occasion, but it'd be cool to see more guys brave enough to rock the look off (like cedywedy) the green.

I was going to post about plus fours, but you beat me to it. Certainly seen in the golfing scene today, along with loud sweaters. Indeed plus fours were usually worn when a gentleman was persuing his hunting, shooting and fishing. My grandfather wore them when he was cycle racing.

Somehow outside of these places to wear them, I can't see it catching the imagination of the general public.
