Knit boots - are they the new uggs ??

The ones posted above with pom poms are cute.

But this knit thing they have going on, won't make very much sense after you're stepped in snow and your shoes just remain wet...

Those patterned ones mentioned earlier almost look like legwarmer with footie-parts.
I was wondering the same thing- a knit boot will not keep your feet dry.

I do not like these boots (I hated Uggs as well), but I am very surprised at how quickly Delia's got these out!

I didn't like Uggs either....at first. But you really don't get the convience of the shoe(at least I didn't) until you are a college student, and you are walking from class to class knee deep in rain.

I do however like this shoe. Not the one orginally posted:smile:yuk: ) but the ones in the Delia's catalog.

Give me proof that it keeps your feet dry and I will defnitley be sporting them in the fall.

i can't decide what i think, although i lean towards not liking them. they don't match my style. but if they work for you then go for it.

I've never seen such things! Brightly coloured ones would look nice with black tights ^_^

I kinda like them, but I too would change the color. Like a raspberry would be nice, or teal ...

yeah i was planning on getting them in natural..but they also have rose, orange, aqua, black, and suprsingly there are other brands with them like livs with rasta design

don't worry i wasn't planning on getting those..but just wanted to see what you all think and the other colors they offer

I think these boots are kind of cool, but wonder if they'd be comfy. Since they fold over, and there's no support, they look like the type you'd fall off of when walking--the way everyone used to think it was normal (but painful!) to fall off your platform shoes on city streets.

Beside jewelrymaking, I also knit/design professionally and am just getting into more advanced crochet design and, coincidentally, these same boots are a big topic of conversation in the crochet forums to which I belong.

Everyone's wondering out loud where they can buy soles and how the crochet fabric would be attached. It's kind of funny because there are suggestions to take boots you own and cut off the tops and then glue down the crochet fabric they've created. I know there's got to be a better way than recycling your own boots. I wonder if this will become a fad like the knit scarf/purse/poncho phases we've seen for the past two years. The minute that happens, my interest croaks immediately.

haha sounds interesting..let me know if anyone actually did that..but reading some people's testimonials from zappos..a lot say that the boots were pretty much comfy but there was just little to no arch support..and i hope it doesnt become a big fad because ithink i really want them now ^_^

Hmm, i think i'd have to see them in person to know whether I like them or not. However, i'd prefer these ones over those anyday :P
