nooo! dont let them keep you from wearing it! i'm sure you would rock it fabulously and look nothing like them :)

seriously, thats something that goes thru my head from time to time-i did wonder if they were a bit too trendy to wear, but what it boils down to is that i like them, so i'm going to wear them and i dont care what anyone thinks. besides, its not like i'll wear them with a bunch of other trends at the same time...i'll work them into my look, so they wont be wearing me, i'll be wearing them

i wore mine out and my friendsteased me coz they thought it looked like chocolate...
they were like... sooo... do you eat them when you get hungry?

both. a kukui tree makes kukui nuts, which are harvested off the trees at different times of the year, giving them different colors (black, brown). the blonde or cream kukui nuts are just regular brown kukui nuts that have been sanded to the inner layer.

:)

i wish i could find a necklace made of the smaller kukui nuts. i read on some ebay auction that the smaller nuts are considered "garbage" nuts, but as much as i love my cream colored kukui nut necklace, i'd really love it more if i could get one with nuts that were about half the size...

not many girls wearing them here...yet. hopefully it will stay that way
