The ad fits the name of the perfume, like he's trying to reach the bottle. The execution is so-so, but that may just be the quality of the picture on my screen. Love Hayden, but this reminds me a bit too much of Jumper, which I'm not sure is a good thing. But I totally buy him as a Lacoste posterboy, as he used to be a serious tennis player, and is quite athletic and well-bred, for lack of a better word.

The bottle does look like the handle of a tennis racket. The whole ad looks kind of tacky though. Would have been cooler if he were wearing something less casual (at least not polo and jeans), or reaching for a light saber.

I still have to see this in print, but I think the ad is meant to have a retro 80's preppy vibe. (Maybe that's why it's not so striking on a computer screen.) The colors, letter font, and especially the design of the bottle.. Anyone see what I mean, or am I off-base?

I find this a very good commercial actually. Saw the ad too. Eye catching.
