My thoughts exactly! I said earlier that my favorite backstage shot of her this season is the one with Iris (closely followed by the one with Georgina ). They would be superb in a campaign together, what with their strong, statuesque features.

Last sunday on Sept a huit a french show, lakshmi was part of a report called Beautés indiennes (indian beauties). She speaks a little bit, saying she made a lot of castings. Jean paul gaultier says he wanted her for both of his shows. There is also her agent. That's all i remember. Here's a link to the video http://www.wat.tv/video/beautes-indiennes-2bz9z_1f8e2_.html . Ah, thanks for the link. I don't really know that much French but I can lipread, so I got the gist of what Lakshmi was saying. It's interesting to learn that Gaultier wanted her at both of his shows, clearly it must have been some scheduling conflict that prevented her from being at Hermès (where she was sorely missed!) rather than other factors. Wish she'd do another campaign for them -- or Givenchy! (I can't get the idea of Iris/Lakshmi out of my head ever since it was mentioned. ) Hopefully the move to Supreme will be promising for her, in terms of print-work and otherwise.

So from a very reliable source I heard that Lakshmi is very close to signing a Beauty Contract. Which means we will be seeing her a lot less on the catwalk.

I agree with you that she fits the aesthetic of Women,
however just reading the About Supreme section on their website, Lakshmi fits that description quite well imho.

Oh and my fingers are crossed about the beauty contract...hope she signs it!

Ok, I know I am kinda late but I am ready to jump on the Excitement-Train where everybody has their fingers crossed for Lakshmi to sing her (hopefully HUGE) Beauty contract She deserves it and there's no doubt that she's the perfect candidate for a beauty\hair campaign of any kind As for the video..thank you so much for posting the link, Debora! At the beginning, while the host is still talking, there's a video backstage at a shoot with Lakshmi on the beach..I wonder what it is for..argh, I am so impatient to know And, do they say that after Paris she was going back to New York for Vogue?!
