Lanvin F/W 2025.26 Paris

I didn’t expect his collection to be that serious!
For some reasons his work at Nina Ricci and Louis Vuitton always looked light and fresh.

But this is a very good debut. The Asian clientele will eat this up because that’s the kind of sophistication you see when you go from Beijing to Seoul.

Personally, I love the sequined dress and the accessories! Those shoes!
The menswear is convincing too.

I hope the owners will really support him. This is the last chance for Lanvin.

I don't hate it, but I don't love it either; it's kind of disappointing. The shapes and fabrics are all over the place, much like Bruno's Lanvin. This collection has too many ideas going on, so I'm afraid I have to put Peter's Lanvin in the same box as Clare's Givenchy. Where are all the lovely pastel blues, cerulean blues, and Renaissance blue from his Sarah Mower preview wall?

These clothes are far from hideous, but they could easily belong to any brand, from Ami to BV or post-Clare, post-Matthew Givenchy, or whatever else is currently trending. I swear I've seen look number three's 4-button sweater somewhere else. Most importantly, what's the message here, apart from "well made"? Maybe it's just me, but Alber was great because he always had a clear seasonal theme in each collection.

The co-ed show format has made this debut even worse...

Pretty solid indeed. I like how he makes the heavy dresses look so easy, elegant and comfortable-looking. And the references to Alber's best years at the label.. 💔..

Now, unrelated and just an observation from one ESLer to another.. how is 'but still, what a couture experience!' connected to the note? is there a blue square missing? 'but still' makes it sound like something went sour when he's just describing an internship...

Look 6 is my favorite!!! It's like Prada Spring 2009 but patchwork by Dries Van Noten lamo

That burgundy drape dress on Lea Julian is so heavy and unflattering on a thin model, pity indeed

A little bit unnecessary if you ask me. Some cute and chic pieces here and there, but trying to revamp a brand with such a discreet and normal offering is kind of… daring.

It’s not bad at all, but quite meh. There is no emotion and nothing too special tbh.

I would’ve liked something more colorful and lady like, idk. There is no one doing that.

It was pleasant but felt heavily inspired (nice way to put it), especially the first half. Would have liked to see him expand the last few looks into a full collection, there’s a point of view there that got buried in a sea of… stuff.
