Lanvin Mens F/W 2017.18 Paris

Some are alright. Lanvin shows are not special anymore, looks the same as most other shows i've seen this month.

He is still talented but i feel like he has done everything at Lanvin and can't save the house anymore...
There are some good pieces but the brand's aura is dead. Everything about Lanvin now feels low-budget and i just want something worthy of his talent. He should do Dior Homme or another big house.

He was so influencial. This silhouette he was the first to introduce is now everywhere and he still got ideas. It's frustrating to see such a talent not being used to his full potential, with all the ressources.

^ I agree he's being completely wasted here.

Normally Lanvin menswear is a show I look forward too, but this time around it feels as though all the joy's been sucked out. Shame really, since they even went through the efforts to livestream the show.

But the buzz after the show is great. He managed some eerie combination of fits, 1910s tight and 1990s wide, not love at first sight, but it grows. He's done marvelous job this time.

Yikes, menswear is really in such an appalling state this season! It's almost as if nobody bothered at all. Sorry to have to rant about this in a Lanvin thread, but my God. I'd like to blame the stylists, but the fault lies with the actual pieces. I've looked at so many different collections so far, yet it feels like I'm seeing the same concepts over and over again. Slouchy oversized silhouettes, and a few conservative suiting looks to appease the older gen. Even Sacai and Dries van Noten dissapoints.

I have to disagree.

Maybe I have "bad" taste or something, but there are a loooooot of pieces I want to buy from the collections. Amazing pants, great coats/jackets, knits, necklaces, belts....
The details are just great. That's a collection you enjoy in HQ.

If you think Paris should be more exciting than the other three, it's not like that since 2014 you know. To me the creative part of the show month is getting better from that drought in 2015. Talk about what's worse, I can assure you nothing compare to fall 2014. Take a look at the Vogue Runway top picks
