Lara Bingle and Brynne Edelsten to compete on Dancing With The Stars
BLONDE bombshells Lara Bingle and Brynne Edelsten are the first celebrities to sign up to the latest series of Dancing With The Stars.
While Bingle proved herself a surprise talent on Channel 9's Dancing On Ice series in 2006, Edelsten, wife of one-time disgraced medico Geoffrey Edelsten, is yet to show off her moves.
Confidential has learned they are likely to enter the dance rehearsal studios along with the rest of the yet-to-be-announced celebrity cast next month to prepare for the ballroom dancing-inspired show.
Dancing With The Stars returns to air around June and producers are currently in the throes of choosing partners for the pair.
Even if Bingle is eliminated from the series in the earliest rounds, she is guaranteed $50,000 for the appearance - what is believed to be her first major earnings for the year.
Yesterday her rep Titus Day was not available for comment on the offer and Seven declined to comment, stating that the network was some weeks away from confirming the celebrity line-up for the 11th series of the show.
Although Bingle performed well on the ice almost five years ago when she finished runner-up to Jake Wall, she has reason to fear the wrath of the Dancing With The Stars home-voter.
In the seven-year history of the show, many beautiful and attractive women have found themselves eliminated early from the dance card despite strong performances. Among them were Jennifer Hawkins, Susie Wilks and Nicky Buckley, all of whom, we would argue, deserved to go further in the series.
If Bingle progresses to the finals, she could potentially make as much as $200,000.
