There was a short article on Lara in this month's Glamour magazine which mentioned her hometown. But I can't remember it now! I'll look it up tomorrow.

Mr-Dale, Lara's from Mierlo (I'm not sure where that is to be honest ).

Some more information from the article in Dutch Glamour. She got kicked out of high school. She was discovered on a trip to Paris with her mother when she was thirteen. She then moved to Paris when she was sixteen, where she finished school after all.

She hates flying and she thinks modeling isn't glamorous at all. When she first started modeling she had to sleep in bunk beds but now she can afford to buy herself an apartment in New York. In a few years she would like to become a physiotherapist since she'd like to teach children with a handicap to walk.
