Lara Stone

I get them. I think a lot of (Dutch) people don't get Lara's looks at first. (I didn't either)
And the whole population sees Doutzen as our biggest supermodel. I love Doutzen, but that is the biggest lie. Ah well, the fight between commercial appeal and high fashion appeal will always be won by the first.

A lot of people think she's just scary looking but I always caught them on not knowing one thing about Lara's career and the things she has done so far.

Guys tend to be narrow minded than girls when it comes to unconventional beauty.
That photoshoped image of her with the bag on her head is just rude though

Totally agree. Everybody loves Doutzen, ofcourse Doutzen has a VScontract, L'oreal but it's all comercial. Doutzen has a beautifull face, it's true, her body is nice but not as hot as that from Lara!!
Lara Stone is our biggest model in the HF and what a body. I want that body. Many people don't get her, but damn she is a stunner. Lara models also much better then Doutzen. What a chameleon.

Also i think there much more Dutch models that are better then Doutzen.

Guys just don't get her, but hell if I was a boy or gay and had a girlfriend with that body and face i'll be damn lucky!

Doutzen is certainly beautiful. No doubt. The most beautiful of the country (Lara has a different kind of beauty.. And guys should get over Yolanthe already. Horse), dare I say but it's just all commercial. Having a VS contract and getting photoshopped to death by L'oreal does not make a supermodel. Commercial is not supermodel. HF is. And Lara is a legend.

My husband who is dutch also does not get Lara, he also does not get Doutzen if it's any consolation. He likes Abbey. He thinks Lara has a peasant look about her.:ninja: I on the other hand think she's gorgeous, I wouldn't mind having her looks, although my hubby says that if that was the case he probably would not have spoken to me in the first place. Doutzen is beautiful no doubt in that conventional boring way, there is nothing about her that i find particularly attractive.

Nobody of my friends knows Lara, some knows Doutzen but also not all. One time I showed a picture of Lara and one of my friends was just like: 'I think she's ugly'. In the Netherlands it's the most of the time like Doutzen was the Dutch supermodel, but we'll know she isn't. Doutzen was pretty big in fashion a few years ago but not as big as Lara is now. And I think Doutzen is quite boring looking in her editorials and campaigns..

Doutzen, sadly, has lost her edge due to VS. Though that girl is still gorgeous. She's perfection.

But Lara has that edge needed to be above anyone else in the bussiness. She just has it, like Daria.

As much as I like Lara, I don't know if I'd say she's a legend. She's definitely an It Girl of the Moment, but I dunno if people will remember her like they will with, say, Natalia.
And I think both can be legend, you just should have a balance. Cindy Crawford and Gisele Bundchen are commercial, and they're definitely supermodels, because they were able to balance the two. Usually an all commercial girl like Bar Rafaeli or Doutzen isn't a supermodel, there has to be some fashion involvement. (I've actually read somewhere that she's kind of average in the Netherlands.) Lara's dabbled in commercial with VS, and I kind of like that, because the show is more light-natured, which is a nice change, I wouldn't mind seeing her there again. I'm glad she was willing to do it. It stretches her versatility and shows she's more than just Fashion's "versatile" ^_^

SPFW: Lara Stone makes tour of Sao Paulo after proof clothing Forum Tufi Duek

The top Dutch Lara Stone arrived in Brazil with her boyfriend, comedian David Williams, on Saturday and Sunday ever wanted to visit São Paulo. She makes a tour of the city this afternoon and took the opportunity to lunch at the Ritz, the Gardens, next to David and a friend.

During the morning, Lara was proof clothes Forum Tufi Duek, the brand which will parade in SPFW on Monday. In fact, she attended the feast of the mark in Bar Secret, post-fashion show.

Who found with the top here in Brazil guarantees: since he arrived, Lara did not complain of anything, is in a great mood and makes a point of greeting everyone he meets.

The model was elected in August last year the "face time" by U.S. magazine "W" and I stepped on the catwalk of designer brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Fendi, Prada, Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana and Hermes.
