I used to think they were really cute under minis... but the are SO overdone now.

I mean, black leggings, mini, and flats/flip flops is basically the uniform for every single teeny bopper who hangs out at the Sherman Oaks Galleria now. Every single one of them... its frightening, they're practically identical.

i dont like that whenever there's a trend - everybody dresses alike..

Yeah leggings are pretty hot, but not under a denim mini.
They look good with a singlet or top and heels, and also under cuffed shorts.
They are also good for wearing under dresses and non-denim skirts.

ankle boots or maryjanes, anything with details at the ankle. i am planning on making some out of a cashmere silk blend--the pattern is really simple and i need a beginner sewing project. i think it is best uner slim tunics and such as well.. and i hate when people are head to toe black---ugh!!!! so if i was wearing a dark outfit, i would snag ballet pink, cream, gray.....sorta colored leggings

Nah, they sound like stirrup pants. God forbid the day that they come back into fashion.

Leggings under skirts have been done here for years (in good and bad ways)... it's almost a staple. As someone else said they are good to wear under a dress or something when you need a bit more warmth/coverage. You can still go bike riding in leggings and a shortish dress without the world seeing what you had for breakfast. I like their practicality.

there is this local fabric store in philadelphia... that seels run of the mill patterns.. i bet you can find some esily on line for free or just sifting through paterns in a fabric store. when i actually get up off my butt, buy it, adn have the time--i will see about sacanning it in or something--- tha tshould be withi three weeks

Sorry so late!! But I prefer ballet flats, mary janes, sturdy pumps, and both knee high and ankle boots.

Leggings look good with everything i reckon, depending on the length.
Like in summer they are good with thongs or nice roman sandals, in winter with any kind of boots, and anytime with a hot pair of heels
