See, this is addictive! Because I find both the skirt/dress and outfit tends to look better with, say black, underneath. The niceness/colour/texture of the skirt stands out much better.

But I object to those who wear them with denim mini skirts  :ninja:

I made electric blue ones to bring a bit of life to those all black days.
Love black full skirt, black top, then blue underneath :woot:

so true it seems everyone is wearing them BUT I dont care I wear what I like not because of what others are wearing or some "trend" and I have worn them with denim not-too-mini and sandals looked cute but with ballet pumps looks cute as well, either way

i love footless tights as long as they are not black it seems to wide spread at the moment!

I saw a pic of Sienna with Jude and she was wearing a denim mini, black tights, not leggings, and her tan uggs she looked SOOOO cute that I tried an outfit like that, I have thin legs so I dared it, and it looked good, what do you think?

the leggings look is great depending on how you wear them. on my college campus it's the typical denim mini with leggings (usually brown or gray) with flats or UGGS. it gives off a more Abercrombie/preppy feel. which makes me want to puke.

Sienna wears them and she's not a teen she's in her early 20s as I am, 22 and she does NOT look tacky

how is it attractive , like a black legging and a mini , its horribly tacky , like on a teen it might look cute ( and they can get away with quirky fashion) but for the 20 somethings and above its really tacky. :yuk:

I'm not a huge fan but I think those that come right down to the ankle are okay .. in black. Very, very few can pull off leggings that cut off at the calves or some inches above the ankle. To me, it just make legs look a lot shorter than they are.

I think if you have skinny legs than it can be pulled off, if not than ugh!!!.....makes me think of Kelly Osborn

I think leggings are IN not out, but either way if you like them then wear them, who cares? I wear them all the time and know I look good.

I'm one of the few who likes tights with denim minis. On the right person it can look really cute.

For me it's not a question of whether they look good or not...... unfortunately, in London, the legging and denim mini has unknowingly gone down the tacksville route....... it sounds really really harsh...but when you see EVERY SINGLE person wearing the ubiquitous denim mini, leggings and ballet pumps - it just makes me think that there are better things to wear........

Leggings are good to wear under your pants in winter when it's absolutely freezing out.

But that's really all I can say in favor of the things.

I love tights under skirts/dresses, but can't stand leggings at all. I think they are very "in" right now, but I still associate them with tacky 80s exercise videos paired with a thong leotard. Blech.

The same thing happened here ind denmark. I went for a walk the other day and i don't lie when i say that in 2 hours I saw at least 10 people wearing the same "uniform": black leggings, mini demin skirt and some kind of flat shoe. :yuk::yuk::yuk:

Colored leggings / footless tights

Colored leggings could be found in the US presently. Go to Forver 21, and try some of the local small stores in your mall if in US. Charlotte Rousee, Generation V, and other small stores would have em. Wal-mart doesnt have footless tights but may have leggings. Indoor swap meets may have them. Usually wear women's pants are as stetch pant styles. As the high schoolers who skate board, they would know.

Another suggestion to buy brown, black, or white for leggings: victoria secret has them. Ask in store, ifnot then catalog for sure.

Really? I think its very sexy!

If nobody wears the denim mini and leggings combo where you are from, is it tacky to wear it then?

^I think if you feel great in it, then why not......just for me, I'm just a little sick of it that's all.

its funny because i haven't tried them because they seemed to teenagey for me. but i am fed up because I have all my lovely vintage summer dresses and skirts out and its still a bit cold/erratic weather here in denmark. So I tried a pair last night and with high-heeled sandals, it looked actually okay. (My dresses are all knee length or longer.

but since so many people are totally off them, it makes me nervous. Maybe I will post in the Does it Work thread. Or maybe I shouldn't second guess myself if I know they will get dissed anyway!
