Singer Lily Allen has been close friends with Jaime Winstone since the actress started dating her little brother Alfie Owen-Allen.
Frequently spotted out partying in London and attending fashion shows together, it's perhaps expected the pair have been swapping more than just tips on how to handle Alfie.
Spotted on opposite sides of the Atlantic, Lily and Jaime both stepped out in matching stonewashed black denim hotpants.

Spotted leaving the London Television Studios on Saturday night after appearing in Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, Lily teamed her shorts with a pair of black opaque tights and white t-shirt.
Giving the casual outfit a touch of glamour, the 23-year-old opted for a pair of killer black heels.
And it seems the t-shirt and black shorts combination is a winning style formula for her close pal Jaime, who was sporting a similar look in Los Angeles.
Enjoying a spot of shopping on West Hollywood's trendy Melrose Avenue, Jaime had no need for tights on a warm sunny day.

Surrounded by a gaggle of female friends, the Kidulthood actress teamed her shorts and t-shirt with a retro pair of Nike high-top trainers - the same footwear sported by Lily when she first leaped to fame in 2006.
Appearing on Saturday Night Takeaway to promote her new album It's Not Me, It's You, Lily was forced to miss her favourite football team Fulham beat Manchester United 2-0.
Writing on her page on micro-blogging site Twitter, she complained: 'I can not believe the one time Fulham beat united at home, I'm not there.
'Instead I'm rehearsing for Ant and Dec. So p***ed off, but happy.'
Lily kicked off her UK tour in Glasgow on March 14, which is set to end with a performance at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on Thursday.

Late night Lily Allen's 4.30am finish at Kate Moss's house

Kate Moss's burgeoning friendship with Lily Allen appears to be going from strength to strength after the pair were spotted out together last night.
Less than two months after the supermodel checked out Lily's comeback gig at London's Koko venue, she was back in the front row again of her second London concert last night.
After Kate watched the 23-year-old perform she was invited back to the Smile singer's north London home, where the two partied until the early hours before ending the night at the model's house.

Lily finally left Kate's home at 4.30am this morning, smoking a cigarette.
Earlier that night, Lily graced the stage of the Shepherd's Bush Empire in her favourite pair of stonewashed black denim hotpants and a black corset.
Originally taking to the stage in a pair of killer heels, Lily admitted they were uncomfortable and changed into a pair of high-top trainers, part of the singer's original look when she leaped to fame in 2006.
Lily's gig was just the latest night out for the 34-year-old supermodel in recent days.
Since boyfriend Jamie Hince kicked off his world tour with his band The Kills earlier this month, Kate has been keeping herself distracted by going out every night.

Lily and Kate were first spotted together in January when the singer joined the model and Jamie at her house following her gig in Camden.
Earlier this month, the unlikely friends were spotted together again at the Chanel show during Paris Fashion Week.
In 2007, the pair were rumoured to be embarked in a feud over their respective clothing ranges.
While Kate is preparing to release her ninth collection for TopShop, Lily designed just one for rival high street store New Look, which failed to match Kate's impressive sales.

However, Lily later insisted she had nothing but praise for the model after she rescued her from bullies at the Glastonbury Festival several years ago.
Lily said: 'These girls were beating me up and she was the only person who stood in and said 'leave her alone you're being bullies.
'They stabbed me in the ear with a beer can and cut my ear open, I also had two black eyes - it was a bit of a nightmare.'

LILY ALLEN may be younger than KATE MOSS but the Queen of the Caners could show her a few things about how to have a tear-up.
Kate is pictured going to see her new best pal perform at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, on Thursday.

After the gig, the terrible twosome went back to Lily’s for a smash-up.
Bet that was quite civilised.
They left at 4.15am for Kate’s, where The Fear singer stayed for ten minutes before heading back home.
It must have all got a bit too much. Lily has a long way to go before she can dethrone Kate in the Caners’ League.

It looked like it was time to go sleep for Lily Allen, as she arrived at Heathrow armed with a huge pillow for her transatlantic flight to Los Angeles.
But clearly the LDN singer wasn't ready for her close-up, as she could only raise a scowl as she sauntered through the airport en route to California.

Dressed down for in-flight comfort in a black sweater, cut-off denim shorts and Ugg boots, Lily was preparing to kick off her American tour which starts in San Diego in two days.
And after arriving in LA with a glum expression similar to the one she wore in London, she stopped off for refreshments - and a *** break - at In-N-Out Burger before continuing her journey.
With her newly cropped hair, and carrying a huge box of duty-free Marlboro cigarettes, Lily was a far cry from the super glamorous look she has been sporting of late.

Gone were the long extensions and high heels, as she opted for a more edgy look ahead of her US tour.
Lily almost never made it to the US, which she is desperate to win over after putting her tour plans in jeopardy when she was pictured kicking a paparazzo.
She lashed out after the snapper allegedly hit the back of her car while following her.
Lily's new album It's Not Me, It's You, stormed the American charts and she is now set to play Stateside following her recent successful UK dates.
