I personally interpretted her comments as being that she hated the media culture of having to go topless etc to get anywhere as opposed to the people who went topless, which in that case I don't think is hypocritical at all.
I cant be mean about the eye makeup because i am in love with how she is wearing it right now although im aware is not suitable for everyday wear. However, the outfit is horrid. What WAS she thinking!!!
Is no one aware of the Fancy dress theme of Bestival (which Lily herself judged a costume competition for?)
Lily went as Barbarella. Most of the other women performing wore similarly themed space-age skimpiness. I assume since Lily's in better shape she feels more confident about wearing such outfits which is more power to her - although I still hate that leopard print bra outfit she tried to get away with a couple of months ago. That was spectacularly terrible.
And I like Lily because I think her personality is interesting and her music is great. If you only like someone depending on their weight, I think there is an inherent problem there. She's no longer a size 12 but she is hardly anorexic either. I have a identical body shape to hers before she lost weight and I know mine is down to terrible eating habits and lack of exercise rather than being "real" so I have no issue with her sorting out weight especially when she openly admitted that her weight gain was due to comfort eating and alcohol.
^I had no idea that the Bestival had that theme! Thanks for clearing that up. I still dont like the outfit though lol! She is looking AMAZING right now. I love everything about her at the moment and i reckon shes still got a lot of miles in her, regarding her career! She seems to be getting stronger and stronger.
it's not the best stage costume she's ever worn but as far as barbarella costumes go it's pretty cosmic (sorry, couldn't resist.) she can do no wrong in my book right now. oh lily, marry me?
Some more behind the scenes pictures of the Chanel campaign:
"09/15/2009 - The British singer Lily Allen proves to be perfect for the launch the new Coco Cocoon handbag line. She naturally won over Karl Lagerfeld. His photographs fully illustrate the style that marries the star and her bag. "She is extremely inspiring and is completely taken with the bags - with her typical English casualness!" The Chanel Coco Cocoon collection will be released on October 3rd. "
