Lily Allen has said that she is quitting her music career and will turn her hand to acting instead.
The Fear singer revealed she will not make a follow-up to her second album,
’It’s Not Me, It’s You' and has no plans to tour again in the future.
She had made the announcement in the early hours of the morning yesterday on her It's Not Alright blog, which slams illegal file-sharing.
But last night, the 24-year-old looked strangely subdued after leaving London restaurant Quo Vadis after dining with her boyfriend, brother Alfie and his girlfriend Jamie Winston.

The announcement will come as a shock to fans, despite claims recently that she felt 'old' in comparison to new, emerging artists.
Her blog entry read: 'Just so you know, I have not renegotiated my record contract and have no plans to make another record (applause).
'I do however remain a fan of new music, so this is not some selfish crusade.
'The days of me making money from recording music has been and gone as far as i'm concerned, so I don't (at this point) stand to profit from legislation. except future purchases of previously recorded material (which wont be much).'

The singer, who recently had a cameo role in Neighbours, has said she would star in a stage production of Neil LaBute's 'Reasons To Be Pretty' and would not 'record and tour again for quite a while'.
The piece, about a bunch of working-class friends fed-up with their dead end lives, is 'about themes close to my heart', she said.
She has also modelled for Chanel, appearing in their fall campaign advertising handbags.

In recent weeks, Lily has hinted that she was on the verge of quitting the pop scene - but her final word on the issue will still come as a shock to fans.
Last month she said: 'I've been on the road for four years and I've given my voice a real run for its money… I'm struggling so I'm going to try something new'.
The singer has dates booked for gigs up until the December 17 in Europe and the UK
