Limi Feu and Trace

^^ iam still crap at thrying to use the quotes function......

..

well i did say this...
i love being able to get things that i might have missed from previous collections...

yes i know.....

I think its a great ploy.....hmmmm.....the one that got away....sartorially speaking.......

so it's now under way.
according to someone at limi, they plan to open their stores in London, New York, and Paris by the end of 2008.
hope it will work out.

Fantastic, thanks for the news, runner! :bounce:

I was told at the Yohji store that they are in the process of "breaking ground" on the new flagship, and may open as soon as November. :flower::heart:

seems like they will have their store in paris before long.

i wonder if they will do a store for her in nyc...
there wasn't very much limi in the nyc store ...
not that i could see...
just one small rack towards the back...next to the y's stuff...

:ermm:...

i love her designs. do they sell them at the yohji store in soho?

^^my post above is referring to the store in soho...
so- just one small rack...
but yes, they have it...

missed this yesterday....i posted an article in the shop till you drop forum as posted on dazed digital. it's really beautiful...

I haven't heard of their abandonment of the NYC store plan.
will ask them.
but it is not easy to decide for a new store under this climate.

behind the recent good news including yohji's new flagship in Paris, his Osaka store was just closed down. another closedown of his freestanding store.
btw, there is a 12 story building under construction in Ginza. it was to be a new flagship for LV almost in whole. but they just withdrew it. we saw them being bearish for the first time over here. they have been something known to the merchants for doing a rapacious business and taking a firm stand. even around the early 90's when we experienced the market collapse in a really big way, they were only rising.

the hope at the reception for her paris store opening

i guess some kind of jewelry maker?

you are welcome softgrey
yes sort of diamond jeweller

runner,
it is not the right thread, but at least it is in the 'field' of yy;
do you know sth. concrete about yy's situation right now? i heard facts about closing the y's line after the message, that red label was closed and they show no menswear this week in paris. do you know - are hey in big humble situation?

I haven't heard anything about the Y's line closing. that would be pretty tragic.

Y's line will continue to be produced.
and the Y's new collection will arrive on july 17 for sure.

this is what they confirmed anyway while you could expect anything to happen.

and it's not like "they show no menswear this week in paris".
they are supposed to show it, but just not on the runway.
the recession and the oppression of the management by a series of new stores openings from last year are the reasons they mentioned why they had given up the mens runway for the first time.

as a general rule, it's difficult for us to stay at what we are.
rise or fall, it's obviously the latter at this moment in this company's case.

some other designers too did the collaboration pieces.
the man in grey suit is shaun leane. the brooch is the one by him.
