that's all for now.

looks promising thanks runner. she definately has an attraction to 'cute' that her father doesn't really have - thats always my issue with yohji clothes - they are soooo super serious all the time. she has a more lighthearted touch which is good.

from headlines.yahoo.co.jp

you're welcome helena

thanks runner...can't wait to see more..
i think what you say is true helena...
'i also think that her pricepoint is much lower and her customer is generally a lot younger...so that's part of it...

you know yohji talked about her taking over for him someday????.....

yes softgrey but if only it was sold outside japan!!!!

runner was the show in the news headlines in japan?

yeah..i know helena...believe me...i literally cry when i see some of the stuff...
it's like looking in a mirror......

well...except i'm not asian......

ps...that's another thing...i really like how she always uses asian models...i always think it's so odd that so many japanese designers use exclusively caucasian models...
seems rather racist in a way...and just odd...:ninja:

come on...let's go to japan...
forget ny...meet me in tokyo!!!

agreed softgrey - the japanese girls look soooo pretty. I love their looks. I am not sure that all the clothes would look so good on me....

yes i'd love to go to tokyo too! One day perhaps......

looks interesting, i like the shape of the first dress and i demand more pics :p

thanks for posting, runner.
i agree with what helena said about her clothes being more light-hearted... but not silly, that is nice.
would love to see more!

The last two outfits look so boring, very average for the typical teen here. The first pic however, looks quite promising, I like the shapes.

Oh and I like Asian girls too, they're always so pretty with their flawless skin and all. I think I might want a kid like that! :D

I like the first skirt with the 'chain'. The pleated skirts are cute to.

2nd

I didn't know she's Yohji's daughter. :o

Thanks for the photos, runner.
And Softgrey, I agree! It's actually kind of disturbing to see the way Asian designers hardly ever use Asian models--and if they are Asian they look decidedly Caucasian.

agreed on the asian models point and the fact that Limi has her own -much lighter and somehow 'modern'- style but i can't see the excitement in her designs yet..

ready and willing to eat my words as soon as more pictures are posted..

runner, how does japan receive Limi's work?
for one i admire the fact that she's been drumming her own tune..
Yohji quite bores me to be totally honest

Lena - have you seen the other Limi thread - interested to know what you think of it? I think Runner started it.

the link to the other limi pictures appears at the bottom of the page...:flower:...

well, just checked the thread, thanks to both of you & softie, but.. still,
i cannot see a major 'wow' there, but those empire dresses looked pretty
i could certainly wear the one i post here, even though the length is a bit 'off' for me (i'd like this a bit longer, like over the knee)

once again, i absolutely respect her 'guts' for doing things her own way, she has such a different, fresher signature than her famous dad and she gets my points for this
it must be hard to be the designer daughter of such a 'big' name no? :ninja:
