The long-awaited runway revival of Liu Wen was nothing short of spectacular and jaw-dropping moments – this season was surprisingly and appreciatively strong, start to finish, resulted a colossal personal feat.

Her presence was immensely well received and palatable from designers, editors, stylists, casting directors, influencers, business executives to journalists and millions of fans worldwide. Like old times, she didn’t miss a beat.


Below is her runway resume where errors were corrected and new additions. This info is factual but also lighthearted. Apologies for any mistakes.

So we finally know what her brief Paris trip was for – congrats! Just wish she could get ONE proper campaign with her 8/16 years association with Chanel. Surely there’s no complaint from her. Guess we may see her in an advert once she's in her 40s…

Conversely her agents/managers/partners should focus on a VF cover and then the elusive British Vogue. She already landed US Vogue (thanks for their continuous support), it’d be nice to see her on other editions. Please branch out? Maybe they have and nothing is aligning well. Or worse part is… well not going to say it. What is the risk? Timing is also crucial. Personally, don't know the politics or logistics but we get it, it’s not easy getting covers. This may be unnecessary pressure; however she still seems ambitious and in another top gear.

Apparently her Gucci campaign was indeed shot during Milan fashion week! Had my suspicion… not Prada or Bottega but will certainly take this imagery/direction of Gucci. Glad they extended this joint effort; just hope they bring her along for SS24 in luxe territory.

Knowing Gucci shot in Milan this prompt to what could have taken place while her stay in NYC weeks ago (confused, because this is when Liu followed Petronio, is he NY based? Sims?). Why go there? Visit agency with no new digitals (granted she was seen with her agent/assistant)? Anyway, shot or not, think she might have more chances to shoot projects in the city leading to/after the Met Gala since she’s reportedly going. All speculation and wishful thinking.

Next Cannes is a possibility (courtesy of Bulgari?). Then presumably she’ll prep for couture week… among other brands events (attend BV in July?). Once June/July hits FW23 campaigns roll out. Fingers crossed.

Nevertheless 2023 is going GREAT than anticipated. :clappinghands:

^ Let's hope. Think around 40 she’ll have this big recognition for all she does (wow, already envisioning her still active in fashion in the next five years and beyond – legend).

There hasn’t been any interaction between her and Edward for years. On or off that we know of. Doesn’t mean anything. Not sure if Vogel/Bailey is a fan too. Not keen on VF’s team to comment but to have them feature Liu Wen on their Instagram gives a glimmer of hope.

No one’s asking but think a solo VF cover may come before a MG VUK, no? If it’s the latter may it be Meisel before he bows out entirely (other photogs are fine). Though more intrigued on a VF cover. More emphasis on fashion and have her truly model. No gimmick.




I’m sure they are correct just curious how Weibo wasn’t accounted for her too (true, she didn’t post any shows except Chanel to garner anything)? The buzz and engagement were definitely there. No worries.
