It's really too bad because it would be so convenient to just watch the streams on your website (since I have it open all day anyway), but I can't seem to get them to work.I'm probably not going to bother putting live streams on the site next season as it's too much drama. Hope you didn't miss any of the show.
That's interesting, I didn't even notice that there were more streams this time since, I guess, a lot of them didn't seem like they would be worth watching. Whereas I did notice some designers whose livestreams I always enjoyed have not been streaming anymore.I think Youtube were very good, but the problem there was that they were obsessive over rights to the point even designers couldn't show their own collection on their own website. They also didn't show anywhere near the amount of shows the current provider does and only allowed highlights to be shown on demand (rather than full shows).
I'm not sure if people realise, but now Youtube don't do the live streaming, there are now about 25 more shows that live stream compared to when Youtube did the coverage.
Also, I believe most of the technical problems (eg, DVF, Carolina Herrera) weren't technical but rights-related whereby the designers decided at the last minute that they wanted to exclusively show the collection on their website.
I know there's been a few problems this season, but I think even with those, we've seen more live streams than ever before. I haven't had a problem with quality at all.
Someone said in the thread earlier that one designer's live stream (can't remember who) was brilliant and much better that MB Fashion Week, but comparing one live stream to around 85 isn't a fair comparison because out of those 85 unfortunately there will be the odd problem.
