that "Vanities" interview is absolutely pathetic. the interviewer is a moron and he was rude and catty in the way that he posed his questions to Liya. it was as if he were mocking her. i can't believe VF printed that sh*t. *boooo!*

the interviewer for that particular column is always ridiculous. it's a vanity fair signature, just like the proust questionnaire on the last page of every issue. the "vanities" is a sort of mock-interview where he asks outrageous questions and intentionally offends the individual being interviewed. i am sure the "negress" comment was meant in jest, however unfunny it may be.
