What is one thing people may be surprised to find out about you?
“I was part of the Law Enforcement Explorers Program and I aspired to be a cop. I even attended events at Police Headquarters and met New York City’s previous police commissioner!”
What’s the most interesting thing about your family? Do you have siblings?
“My family is mixed with East Asian, South Asian, Melanesian and Polynesian descent. I think that makes us very unique and diverse. I have two other siblings, they are my best friends! Since I am the youngest they feel like a second set of parents to me as they give me advice on everything. It’s satisfying to know that your siblings have gone through experiences in life that will help you overcome your own obstacles.”
What is an issue or cause you are passionate about?
“I am an Humanities and Justice major so I am passionate about social justice causes regarding an equal distribution of economic mobility. Because of this I think it is important, and would one day like to create programs for youth in underprivileged schools that focus on the value of money, economics, investments, stocks, bonds etc. Schools are important institutions where kids learn valuable skills, therefore I think teaching how one can utilize money will be an important component of their mobility.”
