Loewe F/W 2016.17 Paris

Instant contender for best of season. Well done on every front. Kudos JW :meow:

fabulous indeed, love how the long skirts flow, how modern the 80s take becomes under his hands. Even the gimmicky cat pochettes looks cute, good change, Loewe!

perhaps more importantly, I love how he has evolved over the years, i didn't like him when he just started or even until recently when he sent out the plasticky see thru pants, but glad to see this now.

Its like the love child of Celine and Ralph Lauren

love it! finally some design not styling! one of the best this season.

wait...what?!
this is actually really good?!
*shock*

i'm going to need a minute to recover ...

:sideways:

Years later and now that he has left the house, this is still IMO his best collection.
Despite being heavily accessorized, the clothes weren’t lost and the idea of a woman was maintained.
Later in his tenure, the clothes became more impressive, more playful but somehow the woman was lost.
There was a bourgeois nomad feel to his earlier collections that feels timeless.

Am I the only one who find this very Philo's Celine?
Literally a Celine by Philo collection in disguise.
I would take this collection over any recent JWA artsy / conceptual / over intellectual crap mix though...this looks sharp, focused and balancing the perfect mix of bourgeois conventional fashion and avant garde. Most people seem to forget JWA sent car shaped minidresses down the runway...

Reading the praise in this thread makes me feel that I might had bad memory when I didn't bother to look back those Philo and Philophiles collections.
