Loewe Menswear F/W 2023.24 Paris

I thought this was definitely one of his weaker collections and it looks like he’s running out of ideas. There were about 3-4 decent looks I liked. The silhouettes were repetitive and some of the fits seemed gimmicky just for the sake of it. Not even the models could save it.

I find it interesting now that his Loewe has almost become like an adult version of his own namesake label. Before there was a quite a clear distinction but he’s definitely blurring it now on an aesthetics level.

This collection made me realise I'm too harsh on Kim Jones.

At least Jones presents clothes and some semblance of fashion, Anderson gives us long johns, jackets as stiff as a dirty cum rag, and bulging sleeves that look like over stimulated gonads ready to burst. It's an unpleasantly juvenile mess that really doesn't have much to say or offer at this point. And again with the tiresome repetition of the same silhouettes. Bloody hell...

The person in the audience with the obnoxious red outfit with the ridiculously sized shoulder pads looks hilarious. There's also some very handsome men in that audience and front row. Mmmph.

Very weak and either costumey or just plain (if you take off all his gimmicks).

I love some of the bags though. :innocent:

The coats and jackets are the only highlights of this collection for me. The rest are quite weak.
I like that he experimented with different materials and techniques, but the result still looks so barebones, and a few prints or decorative details can help this collection.
Benjamin's styling also doesn't help the collection.

That being said I want to see the details of the clothes, considering they were molded, bent, and frozen, would love to hear from the atelier how did they do to achieve that.

I hope he will deliver for his next women's show.

I liked a lot…
I really like this collection but mostly because I saw a lot of things that I would wear myself. It’s a good womenswear collection even if it would feel flat if it was presented on women during next month.
It has a very tactile quality, the fabrics were great. I love suede, I love a lot of pieces! It was maybe a little bit too repetitive and the styling tricks didn’t add anything…

I would rather see variations of one item than the same item 4 times…Other than the color, I don’t know, change the collar, add piping…Do something.
The shoes and the bags were great tho.

But I also agree with @Nomar that it’s pity that Loewe now is a luxurious extension of his own line. It’s definitely fun and it has pov buy you never think « I want to be that woman/man ».

Looks like the pants went missing here too like his namesake collection...

I am curious to see what the coats in looks 36-37 feel like in person. The shaping on them looks quite nice but they also look a bit rigid. Nice outwear overall

Just went to the re see to be sure I was not fond of it ... And this is an amazing collection.

The work they did on the outerwear is insane. There are crazy pieces well done with some more well tailored basics that combine together is just beautiful.

Jonathan delivered again. I think the styling and the all show did not help to realise how good the collection is.

Aliexpress clothes, it's BEYOND CHEAP.
I was too hard with h&m really, h&m could be couture compared to this s*** of a brand!!!
