Hi guys,

Is anyone going to this? The London Fashion weekend is in association with Grazia magazine and is showing at the Natural History Museum in S.Kesington.

If anyone has been before to this event, what can I expect? I have bought my ticket and I am looking forward to it :flower:

I went to this like two years ago or something? I don't know. they didn't hold it last fashion week. Isn't it just a large sample sale? it's can be hit or miss like all sample sales. The best thing I got there was a beaded black chiffon clements ribeiro apron dress (ie it ties but is completely backless so you need to wear it over some bottoms) reduced from £480 to £65 and a beautiful silk scarf that originally sold at Harrods (it had the harrods tag on it) for £10 among other things. But there are lots of sample sales going on right now so I'm not sure if it's worth the entry fee.

I think we were both spamming at the same time. All three were in spam, so I moved this once back out.

Really? Ugh, sounds a bit crap. I am a bit dissapointed now:(

i went to it 2 or 3 years ago and it was a disappointment! most items were still pretty expensive and from unknown designers. the big names were sold in one corner and the prices were really high for a sample sale. i did though buy 2 itesm: a juicy couture pants for £30 and a clements ribeiro skirt for £5.
meg, what other sample sales are on at the moment or are upcoming? i went to the stella mccartney one 2 days ago and it was great, most items were £40 and £60 (sorry i did not let everyone know about it, but i found it out on the day!).

haha oh now you want to know but you didn't tell anyone about the stella sale?!! lol. I don't have no cash at the mo' anyway. Check daily candy or Susie's blog for the latest sample sales is my best advice.

*sigh* - I just thought this would had been good seeing as it is 'Grazia'...now it just seems that it is going to be a let down! My sister is coming from Manchester to accompany me to this 'so-called' great event, she is going to be pissed off if it is crap.

well just go and see what it's like. You can get philip treacy hats on the cheap and we both said there are some deals there. You just need to find them.

I don't want to put a damper on things but of all the sample sales in London supposedly this is the biggest but in my opinion, it's the worst because the stock on all the stalls just isn't that great. The fact that you have to wade through crowds and crowds of people just makes the whole experience even more crap. Then there's the rubbish queuing system they have to pay for things. There are never enough tills and never enough creditcard/debit card tills so I'd suggest taking a wad of cash.

I'm going again this year against my will and because I just wanna pick up a Jas MB satchel - I'm literally going to map out where the Jas MB stand is and head straight there and head straight out.

Sounds like you have a plan!

But I suppose it is different when you have been before and you know where stuff is, this is a new experience for me - lets hope it is not TOO bad and I manage to get a couple of things! But if not, its great for the experience and I will just write about it on my blog.

what s the email address for susie's blog?

from my experience, the best way to know about designers sample sale is by knowing someone who works at fashion magazines or within the same designer company

Have you been to this event before? If so, what did you think about it?
