Louis Vuitton F/W 2025.26 : Emma Stone & Hoyeon by Ethan James Green

Ugh they are gonna push those miniature Keepalls so hard
So far better than the hideous last season

Ethan again took inspiration from his master Meisel: Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2009 by Steven Meisel vibe... although I believe the Meisel one was also an inspired piece by something earlier...

NG is terrible in his campaigns, even in the Balenciaga days I never liked them, but they were still a little better than the current LV ones. But I liked the bag, although those straps with the LV immediately gave me the feeling of reusing leftover leather, not that that was a problem.

that blouse/ top on Emma is HIDEOUS. Jesus the styling is abysmal.

it's a meh campaign so far. both ladies look beautiful on a couple pf pictures but that's pretty much it.

Hoyeon should have the only one in this campaign. She is stunning and she gives more emotion than Emma…
Emma brings this down tbh.

Very Meisel indeed…The girl laying on a sofa thing.

The bag is beautiful in suede but I don’t think it will be a HIT. They should make a bigger version of the Biker.
I love the tan boots on Emma however!

Surprisingly good campaign for Vuitton.
With NG, it’s never really consistent in terms of campaigns. I wish sometimes they were less commercial.
The Barcelona Cruise campaign was great, the SS collection campaign was bad, this is good. I can only hope for the Avignon campaign.

thats the ego problem with his LV rtw its so odd and over designed and styled that only ads like these can give it some form of elegance.
if he infused more reality and elegance in silhouette and coolness in his clothes his ads could have more space to be adventurous.

i ams sick of his cartoon toy jetsons sci fi era that won't go away.

I could look at Emma Stone's face all day. She deserves a beauty campaign.
Here she just looks like the Keebler Christmas Elf, in that hideous top, and jeans.

I like it. Emma's Mia Farrow-esque pixie.

Also, Nicholas isn't slick. This reminds me of my favorite campaign with Jennifer Connelly for Balenciaga, FW2009.
It's an Avedon reference, I believe. Someone chime in, if I am off.

This campaign only reminds me of it for inclusion of the sofa. The posing is more commercial for Vuitton.
Balenciaga was so strong at that time.

EJG loves to copy Avedon/Meisel no?

The problem is that lame *** white background behind the sofas/chairs which makes the images look so half-***ed and cheap. It's little details like that which outline the difference between Ethan's pedestrian work and Meisel's expertise (even if he's so lazy these days).
