Luella are usually made in either Spain or Turkey...most of the new ones are made in Spain. I think quality has improved in the last few seasons too.

Are there still regular black Giseles available? Online anywhere? I live in Austria, so I have no chance to buy it in a store Or did other brands get "inspired" by the style? Something that has a good quality and will last. I don't like the hearts anyway, but adore the metal rings

There are some of the classic styles on luella.com

The classic Gisele seems to be discontinued elsewhere. I'm all for a revival its such a great bag

Well, all the Luella bags are on sale at the Saks in Chevy Chase, they're dropping the line due to the decline in sales which is credited to her Target line...ouch...

My Sales Associate said to me "we're getting rid of Luella because her bags dont sell anymore, it's because of her Target line"

Its not like Karl Lagerfeld who has the chops to pretty much do anything he wants (an H&M line) and still be in demand by all the upper crust uber-pretentious elite.
