I've been trying to decide the same for the past week -- ultimately, I decided I'd rather spend a few hundred more for the security of knowing my bag's not a knock-off. Plus, I was really put off by the fact that many of the listings use "sold out" in their descriptions, when you can go to Neiman and find like 15 Luella bags, none of which are "sold out."

I just purchased the long Giselle tote for Neiman Marcus yesterday. I found it strange that I have been researching all of the Luella bags and have not come across this one yet. It is basically the baby Giselle but longer and it fits on your shoulder. You can wear it as a shoulder bag while the baby giselle you can not. Anyone have any feedback? I am not sure if I am totally in love with the bag?

I have the Classic size Gisele and I love it, I have seen the new long version and I love the idea of it fitting on the shoulder - I thinks its cool - enjoy x

I think what was so novel about the giselle was that it was large and handheld... ... this bag doesn't really scream unique or classic to me.

Well it's hard.. It's almost like a job, when you're looking for an investment bag.

Pricing, styling, color.. they all factor in... It's tough finding a GOOD bag.

I've heard of the Luella Gisele bag you're talking about. The ones that I have seen that are longer are called "East West bags" and they look exactly like the Baby Gisele.

Or I think you mean the tote versions that dont have the flap over the top of the bag.

Its longer in length (E/W) nad has a longer handle so that it can fit over the shoulder rather than hand held as the classic version

What aren't you sure about?

Have you thought about getting it in another colour? What about the pink?

They have the pink version on 'net-a-porter.com'

Is it still possible to change it?

I totally love the pink. I think it is the color bthat bothers me. I bought it at Neiman Marcus. I guess I could return it and have them send me a check. It just takes forever and I am so not patient. They do have the lilac in stock...so I was thinking about that color.

I don't like it. The only thing Luellas have going for them are their large size, and the fact that they are handheld. This eliminates both of those things and now we are left with what looks like an XOXO knock off. I am sorry, but my advice would be to return it. If you do not like the original, or even the baby (which I am not very fond of either to be honest--this bag was meant to be large), then maybe you should look at another designer. Balenciaga perhaps?

Ok soooooooo Im sure these bags are over but I dont care lol. I suddenly want one...a Luella Gisele bag (either medium or large size).
So Im wondering where can I get an authentic one for the best price? & whats with Neimanmarcus.com saying some are exclusively theirs? Is it certain colors or what? Also do they ever go on sale?

Does anyone know anything about chictogo.com? Do they sell real Luella Gisele bags? It says they are guaranteed authentic but I just wanted to make sure. Has anyone ordered from them & knows for sure that they are ok.
