After starring in Miu Miu’s Spring 2014 campaign, it was only a matter of time before Lupita Nyong’o was scooped up by a beauty brand. The Oscar winner isn’t just undeniably gorgeous; she also pulls off every makeup look she tries on. And trust us, we’ve chronicled many of her standout maquillage moments—from purple lips, to gilded lids, to Cleopatra-meets-Audrey Hepburn eyeliner. In other words, French giant Lancôme nabbed more than just a one trick pony—Nyong’o has enough moves to fill an entire stable. Of her new appointment, the ambassadress said, “I am particularly proud to represent [Lancôme’s] unique vision for women and the idea that beauty should not be dictated, but should instead be an expression of a woman’s freedom to be herself.” We love an actor with range both on screen and off.

I'm sure all the makeup and skincare brands were after her!

It's been said, but great news! She is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen:wub:

Would have been surprised had she not signed with a big make-up brand. She truly deserved it. Lancôme managed to snap up one the most beautiful actresses in the business^_^.

Hmm, not nearly as good as I thought it would be:cry::unsure: she looks so tense and that smile is really unnatural...

The picture is ok, but I think it is a little too retouched. I don't quite understand the trend in beauty advertising to take women who are already incredibly close to ideal and then erasing all the personality/humanity from their faces. So many beauty ads look like cartoons these days - I think a more natural approach would be refreshing. There has to be a happy medium between completely unretouched and something that looks more like an Impressionist painting than a human being.

Lupita is one of the most beautiful actresses in the world and this shot doesn't really do her justice - I do look forward for more from her Lancome collaboration though, I think the brand is exceptional.

they should be able to produce a much better ad than the image, its too retouched especially around the lip area

she looks fabulous:Pink:

That would have made a better Vogue Cover.........

Lupita is perfect for Lancome. Beautiful!

I love it. They let her skin shine in a natural way instead of making it plastic with too much photoshop.
