If you haven’t already heard of Madeleine Kragh you soon will. Currently starring in the web-based reality series Model.Live, the US export will be making her way Down Under to walk the runways at Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival (August 12 to 17, 2008). Get to know the rising model star here.
How did you enter the world of modelling?

A model scout who ran an agency in Athens became interested in me and introduced me to Jeni Rose and David Cunningham at IMG. We hit it off immediately and I signed to IMG World the next day.
What has been the most challenging job so far?

As much as I love travelling, it can be exhausting not having a place to call home. That is why I love being in Sydney – it’s become a home.
What has been the most inspiring job so far?

I’ve done lots of exciting jobs, but I am really excited about Model.Live. I think the best is yet to come.
Who would you love to work with and why?

Corrine Day. I really like raw portraits.
Describe your own style.

A little nerdy, a little sexy and really cool. I like boys’ clothes.
What are your guilty pleasures?

Lindt chocolate balls. Savour the flavour!
What’s it like appearing on the reality series?

I am not sure – I'm told it’s a documentary.
Which models do you admire?

Sasha Pivoravova. She's something fierce.
If you weren’t a model what would you be doing?

Professional scrap-booker.
What is the best beauty trick you’ve picked up on the way.

Cut your hair.
How do you stay in shape?

Eat non-processed food, and take public transportation.

Madeline's Model.Live profile

I was born in Arizona, have been traveling the world since I was 15, and haven’t touched the ground since. I’ve lived in Berlin, Athens, Sydney and Geneva, taken kickboxing classes in Paris, and worked at Tommy P’s Boardwalk Café in Indiana (try their subs, they’re really good).

I had my first big break when Jeni Rose, the director of scouting at IMG Models Paris, introduced me to Greek photographer Errikos Andreou. Working with Errikos lead to other opportunities and I am excited about what the future may hold.

Enjoy who you are, live your life, have as much fun as possible, and try to be a good person.

Hobbies and interestsEverything besides extreme sports. Drinking coffee and writing in my journal, writing on everything. Being with my friends. Being with people I love, or working on some kind of project.

TBH, I see Pete Doherty in about half these pics -- separated at birth!

I'd like to see more from her before making up my mind. The test shots aren't doing a whole lot for me, but she looks amazing on the runway (especially Jets and Alex Perry).

I think she looks better when she's not on the runway , she has a very strong jaw but I do think she's pretty

Madeline is really pretty, regardless of the fact that I'm not always such a big fan of girls with really short hair. She pulls it off though, I think! Also I really liked her personality in her Model.Live episode, she seems like someone I would enjoy hanging out with. And I must say, after talking to all the girls from Model.Live, I think Madeline is the most friendly and sweet. Not that Cato or Austria were not nice, Madeline just went the extra yard giving me a nice long reply when I wrote her a note on Bebo, and thanking me for writing her, and telling me she was glad I liked the show, etc... which I thought was really nice of her, she seems happy to talk to you even if she doesn't know you personally, cause actually she was the one who friend requested me on Bebo instead of the other way around.

It could be a lack of time they all seem really busy with casting etc, they also might get tons of emails and writing each and everyone of them a long response will take for ever, I think you got lucky. I did get requested as a friend by Austria which I thought was cool. I agree with you that Madeline seems nice to hang around with and seems very friendly
