Madeleine should let her hair grow longer cause her look is too limiting.

Milan is fond of blonds with long hair so its not THAT surprising that they didnt like Austria.You really have to be at the top of tour game to make it there.

Cato is in another league and I expect to see her at Miu Miu.

This episode is really sad, Milan was really cruel to Madeline and Austria.
Austria has really been looking kind of down lately big difference from NY. She needs to regain her confidence and try really really hard but again she is just a kid.

God ...when I see how down those kids are after not booking shows, I just want to pick them up and hug them....and the hundreds of others like them. Finally some reality of what it's like for most models comes through...is it any wonder that some of them have the issues that they do?

It must be hard for Cato to downplay her excitement when she is around the other two.
She's very lucky....it's all about the looks that's in,the contacts you make and your ability to come off in a positive upbeat way during your meeting with clients. She's got it together and is picking up steam...onward to Paris!

I felt really sad, esp for Austria, I think Madeline is more mature and she can sort of draw on life experience, but I felt really bad for Austria being so far from home and then not book anything. Not even a B or C-list show. Nada. Really good video for how its like in the modelling world I guess.

I admire Austria. When she spoke about the racism in Milan it didn't seem to be affecting her self-esteem, she knows it is their problem and not her own.

I loved Austria's expression when they told her next season might be the same.

She's too young imo. I think she comes across as much younger than other models her age, and definitely compared to the scary 16 yo mini women I see here. Didn't they say that she had never even been away from her mom for more than like a week before this? I just don't think she's ready, and, like they've pointed out a few times, she doesn't know how to present herself as a model yet. Her look will be more polished in a couple of years as well. Hopefully IMG will give her some time, she really is a diamond in the rough.

Madeline seems like a nice girl and all, but there's no potential for bigger things, she's neither beautiful nor unique/interesting enough. But who knows, maybe she'll start hanging with the cool kids, or date someone important, and before you know it, she's the new Agyness.

Hm, I hope Madeleine get's the same treatment in Paris as in Milan.

They should make a show about the more established models also, it would be just as interesting to see.

I do like Madeleine, but it's clear that she won't make it big: nothing really important in NY, no London, no Milan and I will be really surprised if she is succesful in Paris. So, I guess she will be back where she started: modelling in Australia, maybe minor international markets as well, and having to pay off a huge debt for the plane tickets and everything (at least I hope they pay her enough for this documental).
And Austria... yes, she's down and it's not making it big this season, but she's only 16 and has plenty of time to develop.

I think it was pretty obvious from the start that Cato would be the most succesful of all three girls. To be honest I didn't expect anything from Austria or Madeline. Madeline especially, because I don't think she is very beautiful, her hair isn't very nice and she has bad skin. She's a sweet girl, but I don't think high fashion modeling is for her. Austria...I dunno...I like her in print, but when I see her in these videos I am far from impressed by her appearance. There seems to be no spark. And I don't know what's up with her chin but I don't like looking at it from the side. Sorry girl....

Even knowing how competitive the industry can be particularly fashion week, it's still difficult to watch the constant rejection, criticism and ultimate disappointment of the girls take place. However, I actually think it's an important aspect to see and it doesn't seem to exist or hit home in its most accurate form on other modeling reality programs -- even on Model Life (at least to this extent) which was perhaps the closest to this show's format.

While the critique that she needed to look more polished was quite fair imo, it was still sad to see Austria acknowledge that perhaps the biggest reason was her skin colour. Watching this episode has actually made me more impressed/exhilarated by the success of my girls Lakshmi and Sessilee this season.

I'm sure Austria will do well in Paris. Still, Milan must have been nerve-wracking. Show season piles up the costs in her account.

With some of the costs being high in Europe I need to watch how I spend my money. I am going to try using the rails instead of a car service, which can cost a lot.

Started off early today. I have 15 total castings.

Yesterday got to six castings... took a while to figure out the metro system, "metro" is their term for subway.... today i have a driver to help me get to the 14 castings I have.

It broke my heart to look at her beautiful little face accepting the reality that Milan (and the business in general) is a hard place to book jobs when you're not white. You realise it's part of the business but it never gets easier to hear.

I hope her manager is right and that things will change in a few seasons...

That was probably my favorite episode so far.
I actually REALLY like madeleine. I love how frank she was. Hearing her frustration.
I hope she hits it big.
Cato seems to be doing Very well, but that can be expected aha she did do prada again.
