Is madras named after that Indian city?

But techically it's not Madras (the city name) anymore the city got renamed in 1996 to Chennai

I can handle the shorts with a solid polo or the skirts etc.

But when it's the pants, or the sports coat. It's just too much. People look like they're wearing a quilt that Grandma Rose made.
