Makeup addiction

Louna said:
I'm a serious makeup addict and I hate it more and more every day. My skin is crap, so I can't go out of the house without primer, foundation and ysl touche eclat. As if this wasn't enough, I also have very asymmetrical face, no real cheekbone definition to speak of and very fair colouring. So I basically have to draw my face on every day by hiding and highlighting, contouring and balancing. I hate using so many products, but I just feel that the world would never accept me as the formless ghost I am underneath all the expensive cosmetics

Sounds like me: No real good looks beneath it all.

Im a make-up addicted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:woot:
I cant leave the house with out a black pencil around the eyes and a lot of mascara
and a lip gloss!!!! I even go to the store near my house to buy water with make – up… my friends think I'm a totally a make-up addicted !!!!

Aren´t you exagerating?!
Maybe you are seeing yourself in the wrong way, more than beeing unperfect- which we all are!
There is no such thing as a simetrical face or perfect skin!

Instead of spending all your money, time and patience on makeup, have you tried instead on focusing only on having a good skin?
(going to the doctor, cleansing and moisturizing twice a day, drinking water, etc)
Don´t put yourself down, even because makeup can´t and doesn´t hide all the skins imperfections.
Try to reduce what you use, foundations and concealers ruin your skin- it´s not a myth.

Loved to see a pic of you without makeup :flower:

I used to but then I threw out all my makeup and completely stopped wearing it. Its so much less stressful! I used to freak if I didn't have time to do makeup before I had to leave the house.

this recent heatwave has forced me to abandon all makeup!
& i feel so much better for it!
not being reliant on makeup is a lovely feeling.!

excellent idea!! thats me philosphy, amd im much happier and healthier follwing it!!:D

i love make up and the fun you can have with it but i barely spend anything on it. like, it actually pains me to pay more than five pounds for a mascara. if i was rich no doubt i'd love buying it.

I certainly own a lot of it, but it rarely seems to make it on my face. Sephora is dangerous!

I don't wear makeup often, I love my natural face, but when I do I wear just a little bit of mascara and some lipgloss... but I must admit I'm like obsessed with buying it and mixing stuff together to create my own stuff. My mom says I'd be good at making it because I do awesome colors.

There is such a thing as symmetrical skin. Not down to the exact line, but millimeters around there. It's weird how people say that the more symmetrical you are the more beautiful you are... I don't think I'm symmetrical.. maybe I am, but I think I'm quite pretty at times.

for me , going out without makeup is like going out without my face

okay.. that was before :P but now i'm trying my best to get used to the all natural look. - except for ysl touche eclat ..seriously i can not live without it
 anybody know a good treatment cream for dark under-eye circles?

^ Oooh I would to know the dark under-eye circles too. That's the only thing I hate about my face beside my acne.. which is getting better. But I was born with dark circles and people think I'm tired or something. Foundation doesn't help me.

My mom actually told me something.. I can't remember it this second.. but she said it was 15 bucks or something at wal-mart, but I don't know if it works or not.

^Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat is a liquid concealer/highlighter pen with a brush attached that many swear by for flawless dark circle coverage.

:p You know, I just went camping last week for three days with a bunch of guy friends, and I have to say that it was such a relief to not have to worry about makeup! I actually went to the bathroom to brush my teeth one morning and found three girls crowding around one small mirror trying to apply a full face of makeup... and all of them had little pink fluffy brushes peeking out of their overstuffed makeup bags! I left the bathroom with a smile on my face :P
I think sometimes I need to get away from makeup altogether and realize that I don't have to use it as a crutch. It enhances something we all have, and it shouldn't conceal who we are.

I admit I feel really self-conscious if I leave the house without a least a bit of concealer on. It's kind of like..you want to present yourself as the best person you can be, and looking well-groomed and pulled-together is a part of that.

 g;ad to hear this! breakthrough lol...

I have to say since my skin has gotten better I have become more and more obsessed with makeup. I love chanel, BE, mac and napolean- absolutely top notch!!!

I think Im pretty without makeup- Ihave very defined but delicate features but makeup just makes me feel really confident and I get so many more looks and compliments with it than without. SO obsession live on!!!!

I feel weird because I hardly wear any makeup at all but I am still obsessed with buying it! I literally have 10 lipsticks or lipglosses in my purse at one time. I have so much makeup you'd think I was caking it on my face every morning, but that isn't the case. I just like to have it and try new things...makeup is so pretty! :D

No lie, i once slept in make-up 3 days straight during a camping trip!! (Seriously i took bare minerals "so pure you can sleep in it" to the next darn level.)
