wintotty - congrats on obtaining a pair of malaka for yourself!!! i am on the fence about keeping mine or not. i really want to get the manolo grey fetisho boots (see pic, my scan from uk harper bazaar). thosed are going to cost over $1k if i get them so i may sacrafice the malaka. it's the fetisho and also the camo sedaraby that i want. i have a pair of the latter on the way....i hope i can keep those too!

Those boots are HOT!! Over 1K, huh? I guess I have to pass on that, then

Malaka is really a great pair of shoes, no other shoes are like Malaka.... I hope you decide to keep them. camo sedaraby is great, too. I worn twice, and I got so many copliments already.

I am a 39 in pumps and I tried on a 38 in those and they fit.

I'm not sure what size I am in the pumps (don't own any yet, unfortunately, and there are none around here to try on) but I'm usually a 37.5 in other Manolos I've tried on...sometimes I don't really know how to tell if they fit though. I'm guessing if they pull at the back of my heels when I walk they're too tight...not enough room for my feet to stretch? I'm afraid though that a slightly bigger size might have a gap at the back when I'm standing, or is that normal? I'm used to wearing more flexible shoes for everyday use that don't need to fit so precisely so I have a hard time sizing my Manolos.

looking through the nm website, i came across these shoes. they are described as charcoal stingray. does anyone know what "stingray" is? i gather that it refers to the material used to make the shoe. it just looks so interesting.
