What does everyone here think is the perfect height for a Manolo heel, like if you were to custom order them? I'm thinking the 3 1/2 inch heels are a little on the short side and may consider calling the boutique in NYC for future purchases instead of ordering from Neiman's, where most of the pairs I like seem to have 3 1/2 heels. 4" sounds reasonable to me, I'm not sure if I could walk very well in anything higher but I'm always willing to sacrifice comfort for proportion (I only wear my heels when I'll mostly be sitting anyway ;)).

Oh yeah, some of the newer ones at Neiman's seem to have 4 1/5" heels, which is an interesting number.

I was totally in love with these until I tried them on and the toes looked too stubby. I think I'm more a fan of the pointy toes. I want to invest in a classic pair of black leather pumps next, as much as I drool over the fancier stuff I really need some basic shoes that will go with anything for any occasion before I get too carried away buying pretty, shiny things.

^ It seems like those shoes would be lovely if he just extended the toe a little, like .5" and left it with that square bit, a very menswear look, I'd say. I have some brown croc kittens (not manolo) shaped like that, and they are beautiful with gound skimming trousers.

I've been thinking about the Campari mary janes in brown patent ... the reason I haven't bought them yet is because I'm not sure if they are "classic" enough.

Are pointy toes always in?

Should I?

hey! all shoes are really in. the mary jane is the most classic shoe one can get!

legal...send me an email and I will give you my SA name to help you find the 4 inch!

There was a piece in this weekend's Observer style supplement (a large one. Most of it was complete trash.) with a pic of the the marie antoinette manolo's. They look divine (and prob. come with equally divine pricetag). According to the article there are only 5 styles and it's very limited edition. The london boutique will be getting all 5 styles and only one shoe in each style in each size. So 5 37's, 5 38's, etc. etc.

I'll check and see if I still have it at home sprigged when I get in tonight...

OK, forget the Mary Janes for a minute. I got these at a steal on Ebay, and I like them better because they are a little more unique.

You'll have to tell me what you think.

Does anyone know the style name?

TIA!!

I have seen that style. they are lower heel..more classic. great for work, etc.....
