The left bag (grass bground) is on ebay, the bag and the leather looks authetic to me. Only thing is the button is smaller than the right bag. Does the new Aline bag have smaller button? is the ebay bag authethic?

while i can tell you i have never seen an M by Mj bag faked before, i'm really wondering about this. the white string tag usually means it's fake with his mainline bags, and that button and the stitching dont look like typical M by Mj stuff. do you have the auction #??

wow, thats weird. im stumped. i know sometimes the bags do differ from the stock photo's because the stock ones are generally of the prototypes....but thats quite a difference. and i cant figure out that tag. but the leather quality and lining look like a real m by MJ bag...hmmmrrr

all the m by Mj things i've ever owned had a black tag with 'marc jacobs' in shiny black and white....so unless he's changed tags or something

my only other guess would be that there are two different sizes, and that would explain the proportion difference with the button....but i dont even think there are two variations in size.

I would bet that the bag on the right is an absolute fake. I've seen that bag many times in many stores recently and it looks exactly like the one on the left. I actually saw it again yesterday, too. The size difference between it and the next size up is way more dramatic. The button is a clear giveaway but the leather and coloring also looks off.

after looking at the auction.. the plate looks funny, the MbyMJ zipper pull looks off..

Edit after checking Ioffer... yes, this is DEFINITELY a fake. They are selling a lot of marc by marc jacobs fakes on there... even ones with that similar small button.

wow! so my suspicions were right. they're finally faking m by MJ bags....well, i guess after they start selling over a certain price point, they must be worth it for fakers to copy them. that makes me kinda sad inside..........

The Shopbop bag's leather looks much softer (you can see more of the natural ripples throughout the bag). The Ebay one looks way too stiff. Its confirmed fake anyway, but just pointing that out. Gee this is interesting, I never knew they would fake a MbyMJ.

Don't be fooled - there ARE fake MbMJ's out there, especially with the Miss Marc bags and the Turnlock Teri. I've seen a handful already!!

This bag is definately fake. The shape it totally wrong. Although the nameplate and the lining seem authentic, the hardware which spells "Marc by Marc Jacobs" looks faked.

It's kind of scary how counterfeiters are honing in onto relatively cheaper bags as well.
