Marc Jacobs F/W 2018.19 by Steven Meisel

Love the campaign already but my god, those clothes....
Really the worst of the 80's.
But i love the idea of Meisel for MJ. Meisel totally understand fashion and original underground feel of NYC in the 80's.
Marc just need better collections and not just collections that works during fashion weeks but collections of real desirable clothes.

I've read and heard that his resort was inspired by his infamous Grunge Collection (He did fine with the FW06 interpretation of that) and i've high hope for his S/S19.

Unfortunately for these girls, the wacky haircuts have stripped them of any sort of impact or identity.

Imagine someone like Kristen McMenamy fronting this campaign, donning these hideous clothes. Even the thought of it makes me think of how remarkable the images would be.

I still can't forgive Guido. What's wrong with wigs?

A lot of the girls have changed their hair since the show; I wonder if the ad was shot right after the show?

And another one for Rianne!!! She is on a roll!!!

Too bad that we live in a time where a Zara campaign is our only source for a healthy dose of Meisel US Vogue realness, and a Marc Jacobs campaign styled by Katie Grand of all people is our only source for a healthy dose of Meisel Vogue Italia realness.

I was truly excited and looking forward to see Meisel shooting this collection, but this is such a letdown so far. I was expecting something completely different and more creative.

I can't stand this irrelevant cast. At least there's Rianne.

All I care is to know if Christy Piccone is in it.

This campaign has something interesting. However, I think that the problem is not the cast. Because who cares about a pretty face, any model has one, and any model can hold a leash. I think that they ruined it by putting two pictures together and creating a weird perspective that looks like a bad photoshop job. Was it too expensive to have two trained Dobermans in an actual cold-looking corridor?

Honey, If you don't like it you can shop at the Gap. This is Fashion darling, and I love it!

I would like to see you wear these costumes on the street. Looking forward to the photos. Don’t forget!

I love everything about this, I can't help myself. It makes me smile.

Very 2009 when the 80's revival was at it's peak...

There's too little variety in this campaign. It's not bad at all but it could've been so much more.

Also, the cast is terrible. You have Rianne and then you have nobody. Katie is the worst.

Well.. it is all the girls that got the heinous haircuts. Seems fair enough.
