First impression, I kinda like it! Feels like a refreshing turn of events for him. I always will have a soft spot for Marc. His logo pieces actually feel kinda cool.

I think the same. It is beautiful satire from contemporary instagram/streetwear fashion. Models have too big eyelashes. Marc always has great sense of humour.

I feel terribly underwhelmed by this collection. The FW20 one was a real treasure. This FW21 is just Kenzo by Felipe Oliveira Baptista mixed with Cristobal Balenciaga's silhouettes and horrible logo prints. I guess it might be the result of Marc's obsession with being a full-time Instagram influencer. Maybe it's time to reconsider the structure of his brand. I don't get why they just don't suspend the runway line since it won't be even available in MJ's own stores (because it seems that they will be still focused on Heaven and The Marc Jacobs) and apparently it's a Bergdorf Goodman's worldwide exclusive.

All I can see is all the designers he has been wearing lately. Kenzo, Moncler, Pierpaolo Piccioli, Loewe. I hope the logo pieces will sell to justify this mess. There is no Marc Jacobs identity in this collection.

I thought with a hiatus he will comeback with full of ideas. make a statement. His collection used to be standout in the sea of mediocre NYFW. These clothes are fine, but it's just another NYFW collection.

I just wondered whether the op-art intartias are meant as a nod to Halston's debut collection he did for Bergdorf's in the late 60s...which has now been recreated and inmortalized by Ryan Murphy for his Netflix show, it seems too much of a coincidence since this is also designed for Bergdorf's and the timing seems right.

Totally understandable that you don’t like it, but HOW does it look remotely like Zara? I just find this phrase so overused

he’s obviously referencing a couple of other designers here but that’s nothing when it comes to Marc.
I do like it and it’s so much better than most.
MJ continues to be creative and I’ll always give him credit for that (even if heavily inspired by others).

This is Marc true to form.
Referencing the work of other designers has never been a problem for him, he's always been pretty honest about it, which in my view gives him some more points...so, saying I see hint of this or that is a sterile exercise in this case.
I see this like a re-edition of one of my favourite collections of his, the FW06: the layering, the elongated silhouettes and something unmistakably NewYorker about it, like only Marc can do.
Despite the up-and-downs his brand has been through, he still manages to maintain a fresh eye on things and make collections that stand apart form the mediocrity of NYFW.
And that's no small feat, IMO.

The vibrant colours are absolutely gorgeous, though I've never been a huge fan of super-oversized pieces so I'm not head over heels with a lot of this collection. But Marc always knows how to deliver a collection with some oomph to it and there is definitely a bit of that here. I hope there are some straight-on photos somewhere though haha.
