Marchesa S/S 11 New York

3 pretty dresses but as an overall of the collection, its been very similar to past collections, I find it quite boring and very repetitive.

Are they really though? No doubt they're extreme dresses, but I think the tricks distract from the fact that these are the same entrance making dresses that women have been relying on for half a century; ballgown, siren gown, goddess gown. They're basics on steroids.

I certainly can't disagree with that, but save a few standouts (January Jones and Natalie Portman are the first to come to mind, and occasionally Nicole Kidman or Zoe Saldana), the vast majority of actresses tend to stick to the same basic column or ballgown formula; safe dresses that E! Fashion Police won't rip to shreds. They shy away from anything that strays from your typical "oooh shiny!" awards show dresses because when they don't, they tend to be crucified for it. Marchesa is definitely couture drained of it's soul, but I can still find their attempt at those couture elements in their gowns, and it's better than nothing, I suppose.

this collection a bit haute couture for me..

am i the only one who love this collection?
amazing dress!

these clothes sure find their clients, there¨s no discuss. but still i miss there something... marchesa always looks like you´ve seen all this stuff or some details of it somewhere before. still is just like a copy for me

I don't care... I love Marchesa no matter what.
